Hey, go change the rules on how the Senate is put together. Have fun with that. Heaven forbid the Democrats put up candidates that can win in those states.

I'll be curious to see how the Democratic House proceeds. Do they view the elections as a mandate to go after Trump? Do they view that as their new function? Do they stand behind Pelosi? Do the younger, newer members of the House actually learn how to be representatives, or do they hang out with the East Coast media and give interviews every third day, like the Tea Party House folks did for years on end with Fox News?

Any side can win any state, given enough time. Large regions have flipped over the years.

Of course, MD, DC, NY and CA might require infinity.

What you feel is a disadvantage today might be a huge advantage for your side in 10 or 20 years.

The big problem is everyone thinks short term and now.

I have no idea what anyone’s long term goals are at this point, except the immediate problem - this too shall pass. In 2+ or 6+ years.

Sure hope some bipartisanship arises and some things get done - constructively - for the good of us all.

Still doesn't solve the problem of 40,000,000 under-represented Californians and 600,000 over-represented Wyomingites.

I can get down with that.

There's a mechanism to change it. Several, in fact. People could move to Wyoming, put down roots. Or, change the way the Senate is put together. 9 senators for California. 1 for North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Idaho combined.

As I look at the map today, it becomes clearer that 2018 was the 2016 election except without Hillary Clinton in it. The three states that put Trump in, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, all elected both Democratic governors and senators. That would concern me were I working at the White House.

Alma, you even been to Wyoming? One reason its population is so small is that large chunks of it are well-nigh uninhabitable if beautiful. As the saying goes, you can't eat scenery.
