Ubu is the biggest sucker of all.

In North Korea, Missile Bases Suggest a Great Deception

The satellite images suggest that the North has been engaged in a great deception: It has offered to dismantle a major launching site — a step it began, then halted — while continuing to make improvements at more than a dozen others that would bolster launches of conventional and nuclear warheads.

"Nice North Atlantic Treaty Organization you got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it."

Reading the story, the longtime allies really don’t seem all that shaken. Mostly very annoyed.

The majority of Americans don’t much care how Europe is getting along or, if they do, it’s in phony bullshit ways like food and soccer.

I will accept that Americans are allowed to think soccer is bullshit (their loss), but the food of France and Italy? That's beyond wrong into moronic.

I like soccer OK and European cuisines. But that doesn’t mean I care about Europe. That’s just high-end cultural byproducts of Europe.

It’d be like an Italian saying: “I like Quentin Tarantino, Kendrick Lamar, the NBA and Carolina barbecue, so I’m aware of America’s strengths and weaknesses and worry about its plight.”

Yes. Other than World War I and World War II and the Holocaust and the Spanish Civil War and Communism and the Cold War and the Holomodor, why would any right-thinking American care about stability in Europe?

Considering he's dead, Conaway would be a major improvement.
