He thinks being a complete dick 100% of the time is the only way to behave to win. He has no idea that politics and the human experience is not a zero sum game. He doesn’t understand that the fundamental principles of Christianity: Love Thy Neighbor. Turn the Other Cheek. whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. These are the principles of humanity, enlightened, Christian humanity. His supporters, and Trump himself, have no use for these principles. They operate against these principles.

Which is why when you engage these people, whether it is about collusion or climate change or social security reform, you are engaging with people who do not have the same goals as you. Trump’s idea of success as president is strictly personal. His supporters dont care if random children a seperated from their parents, are murdered in their schools or can’t find and pay for doctors to treat their disease. Only that they can.

High explosives are a form of strength in a relationship, I guess.

Market is down again. Republican policies are wrecking the best part of the american economy, technology and innovation. Propping up coal and oil and steel with more welfare to corporate farming.

It’s like someone wants America to implode, commrade

Thanks! I live right on the ocean, in fact—you'll understand I won't tell you exactly where, seeing as you might show up—and both of my boys love it. I'm going to take them to Harry Potter World the next time they're here and blow their minds a little bit. Can't wait.

It's true that, like most divorced parents, my ex and I have to share custody of them, and you think that's a burn. If it pleases you to know it, I miss them terribly when I don't have them, especially when I'm away. Last night my younger son scored a terrific indoor soccer goal, top corner from distance, and I hate that I missed it.

But the economics of TV writing—on which I am sure you are already expert, but I'll explain for everybody else—means that I can work here for four months and take the rest of the year off. It also means I can fill up my autistic son's RDSP (look that up if you want; it's a terrible socialist idea designed to make it easier for non-typical adults to be independent, with the Canadian government putting $10 in for every dollar that you contribute) and he'll never have to worry about money for a day of his life, even after I'm gone. So that's the trade I'm making. I feel like it's the right move for my family, and if I'm ever feeling low about being away, I remind myself why I'm here, and, like I will this afternoon, I'll take a long walk on the beach in the sun and then go with my friend to the Comedy Store and appreciate that life isn't so bad.

Sorry, went into a rambly dreamstate for a second there. Now, where were we? Oh, right. You're a racist who spends all day being a troll online. How's that going?

Heard somebody on the radio today refer to the overall administration (staff, non-cabinet posts as well as cabinet, etc.) as the president‘s “kitchen.” That’s the first time I’ve heard that one but seems appropriate.

Wow. This is the pig that some of you voted for and continue to support. May you live with this for eternity and may this haunt you on your death bed.

Trump calling someone dumb is rich. His greatest hits aren’t working any more.

Hopefully his outbursts mean he’s getting very bad news today.
