Toronto is one of my favorite cities in the world. I love LA too, but am not sure I'd want to live there full time.

If you can figure out a way to divide time between suburban Toronto, and the beach in LA, you might have the perfect situation.

I still remember the first time I saw the Pacific Ocean. Incredible.

When we went out to LA in May for my niece's graduation from UCLA, I made sure to go out a couple of days early, to stay in Santa Monica, and show Fiona the beach/ocean.

I bet your kids really are excited by the experience.

I'm glad you've been able to find a situation that works for you -- especially if it helps to set your son up for life, and relieve you of any worries you must have about his future.
