That's nonsense. I would put it first.

I'd put him third. McCartney's songs were too "infectiously silly" for me.

That's not my term. But I saw it on a website tonight, and it fits my perception.

I also prefer his Beatles work to John Lennon's.

"Band on the Run" blows away anything any other Beatle ever did. "Another Day" is also a gem.

Shit, "Mull of Kintyre" and "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" and "Jet" and "Live and Let Die" and "Silly Love Songs" and "No More Lonely Nights" ... I love Paul McCartney's solo career.

"Another Day" is my favorite, though.

I go with Lennon's "Imagine" and "(Just Like) Starting Over."

And I think "Jet" and "Maybe I'm Amazed" are equally good.

I wish we could have found out what 30 more years of Lennon would be like.

It's not on a par with Lennon or Harrison. I don't think it's particularly close.

If I had to listen to a post-Beatles greatest hits album of either Paul or Ringo, I may flip a coin.

I feel shame for having momentarily forgotten "Live and Let Die." It and "Band on the Run" are 1 and 1a in teams of Beatles solo projects.

    It's not even close.

Fourth?? That means behind RINGO? Really?

I'll put it this way: if I were to list my top 10 favorite post-Beatle songs by the four of them, I don't think anything by Paul makes the list... but Ringo's "Photograph" might.

I do love the Faces cover of "Maybe I'm Amazed," though.

This, even if it hurts my hipster cred and means I have to agree with an old person.
