Prison Ecape: Matt shot dead by police, manhunt now on for Sweat

Sweat is a pretty appropriate name at this point.

I bet a few people back at that prison hoped Sweat would be killed, since dead men tell no tales. Now he can talk about who helped him in exchange for a few privileges, not that I'd believe a word he said. I expect his ability to get power tools in jail is one privilege that will be revoked.

 

There's no chance he'll be returned to the same prison if/when he recovers.

 

I guess he broke the first rule: 'never let them see you, sweat'

 

Sweat's alleged description of the original getaway plan is that he, Matt and the woman prison employee were going to drive to Mexico in her car. This only means they'd have wound up getting shot two weeks earlier by Virginia or Tennessee or Arkansas state troopers instead of New York ones. They actually were better off in the woods. Why on earth wouldn't they head to NYC, where's it's one hell of a lot easier to disappear than most places?
