Another terrible day for our business (if those of us who got out are still allowed to call it "our business.) Feel so bad for so many:

    Romenesko ‏@romenesko 5m

AOL boss Tim Armstrong says on this morning's conference call that 40% of Patch will be laid off today.

Did any of the 40 per cent make it to the end of the call, or did he gas them all as he went along?

Were they offered free drinks in Manhattan?

Any of the 40 per cent...?

See the post above his referencing 40 percent of Patch being laid off today. Turns out that includes a friend of mine, so those of y'all enjoying this can kiss my ass.

I was questing the spelling of percent as two words. I've done work for Patch and, yeah, this sucks. Almost as much as spelling out 40% as 40 per cent.

    That's Canadian Press style. YMMV.

You were questing it? Did you find it?

Spelling out 40% as 40 per cent sucks worse than 40 percent of Patch workers getting laid off? Interesting perspective, to be sure. But please continue on your quest.

    What is your quest?
I seek to compare grammar to hundred of layoffs as being the same problem.

    Oops, questioning.
Egg on my face. ??? :-\

And I wasn't trying to compare the two.
