    Wade Boggs is inducting Hennig.

I'm guessing when Sting retires, he'll sign some sort of non-compete legends deal that allows them to do a DVD, and they'll probably induct him then.

As for the Von Erichs: Has either major HoF (WWE, Wrestling Observer) inducted an entire family or stable? Tag teams are one thing, but I don't know if they've done that before. I ask because, taken on their own, the only individual you can make a decent case for is Fritz (I think he's already in the WO hall). Kerry was a world champion for three days as a favor, Kevin never did much outside of the Texas territory and the others died young.

I think you could make a case for Kerry and Kevin as HoF material based on their legendary feuds and matches with Flair, the Horsemen and the Fabulous Freebirds.

During the 1980s, WCCW was putting on great, great shows. Now that Vince has the footage, he should study them to see how to put on a show.

Had Kerry had a more distinguished (or at least less drug-filled) career in the WWF, he might have a case. But from what I can tell, the less time you spend in the WWF, the higher the bar is set for admission. Don Muraco spent much of his career there and has no world titles, but he's in as part of the same class that includes Dusty Rhodes (multiple world champion and icon with a brief, cringe-worthy polka dot phase in the WWF) and Nick Bockwinkel (one of AWA's greatest ever, no WWF/E time that I can recall).

Had Kevin won a world title or spend decent time in WWE, he'd be the most likely of Fritz's sons to get in because he actually had a full career. If you have an abbrieviated career, you'd better do a lot in your time down here (Bruiser Brody).

Is Ultimate Warrior in? If not, THAT'S the ultimate test. As it were.

Rock would make a nice surprise choice to induct the Samoans.

    They are family, after all.

  6. Samu and Rosey--Afa and Sika's sons--are inducting the Samoans.

    You are correct, sir.

The original Rock to induct Mr. Fuji.

There aren't really a lot of choices for Fuji, and those TNT sketches like Fuji Vice are cult classics. The person most people associated him with is Yokozuna, who of course is dead. Mr. Saito would be a good choice, except he's probably too obscure for most of today's fans. I'm sure Barbarian and Warlord can no-show the Tri-City Extreme Alliance show at Rural Regional High School to do the induction, but who would care?

Meanwhile, to give you an idea of how screwed up WWE people are -- Bryan Alvarez (wrestlingobserver.com) is reporting that Joey Mercury was fired for a second round of painkiller abuse. He got hooked on them last year and went into rehab (when MNM split and Nitro and Melina became singles stars). When he came back, what happens? Ladder to the face, major facial damage. Then what happens? He keeps wrestling (for fear of losing his spot, for fear of losing his job, he wants to make money, whatever). Then what happens? A ha, those painkillers. And now he's out of a job. Nice.

  10. Yeah, that makes sense to me after reading that and thinking about it, Meat. I mean is WWE the biggest hypocrites out there? I remember when Mercury came back from the injury right away and started fighting, my wife was like, he has to be on painkillers because even though the punches don't make full contact, that area is sensitive and it's going to hurt. She would know because she broke her nose playing rugby about 5 years ago.

So WWE invents this wellness policy, and to me, are very selective on how they deal with the individuals who "break" these policies. Obviously to them, Joey is more expendable than RVD and Sabu. There was no way those two could have been fired at the time because it would have doomed the new Extremely Crappy Wrestling sooner. And how come Chris Masters wasn't fired? Obviously he was on the juice cause when he came back from his suspension he was smaller and you had HHH making a joke of it on RAW. So Joey is expendable because he is the weak link of MNM and they really have no plans for him. Way too treat your talent, Vince. Like Meat said, the guy comes back way too soon so he doesn't lose his spot, goes on painkillers, gets addicted again and is fired. I know he was already suspended once but you would think this time he had a legit reason and they should have tried to help the guy out, IMO. Yeah, Joey might be on ROH or TNA in a couple of weeks, but he's probably still going to have a problem and then 10 years from now we'll be talking about another wrestler who died too young.

Random questions that I know ya'll will know:

    1) Why does Booker T, er, King Booker not do the hand-thing anymore? Ya know, where he used to show one finger at a time and hold his wrist up high, etc.?!

    2) I hear there's gonna be a lumberjill match at Wrestlemania. Thought the point of a lumberjack match was to have the bad guys vs. the good guys on the outside of the ring. Are there really enough divas to make up bad vs. good?

    3) Did Edge break his jaw? Is that why he wussied out of the match tonight?

The five time, five time, five time, five time five time WCW Champion thing? King Booker won't lower his standards to doing that anymore. It's the old Booker...

Five and five on the outside, two on the inside.

Good: Torrie, Ashley, Kelly, Layla, Maria, Mickie, Michelle
Bad: Ariel, Candice Michelle, Jillian, Melina, Sharmell, Trinity, Victoria
