Should anyone be surprised here? We got the same damn thing with Cena/Edge for months, although that wasn't boring because Edge became a helluva heel during that run.

As far as Cena, it's past time to get the strap off him. His character has become stale and so has his in-ring work. I was hoping they'd give the Showstopper one last run with the belt at WM23, but no. Let HBK carry Raw now while Trips is still on the shelf. We all know what's going to happen when Trips comes back, so let HBK have the strap for awhile. Please?

And I thought Randy Orton was gay...

No doubt. Even when he and Christian did that five-second pose for those with the benefit of flash photography, he was hilarious.

I'm glad Rated RKO is kaput; saddling a brilliant talker like Edge with The World's Most Boring Gay Guy sucked. He should be the top heel on Raw for a long time. Which means HHH will return, turn heel and become champion.

I'd still like to see Kennedy challenge Cena. Different matchup, and if they wanted to give Kennedy a trial run with the belt like they did Edge and RVD, Cena can sustain the loss.

By the way, I think the Cena hate is overdone. He's not a horrible worker (predictable, but that's true of every top-level face in WWE), he delievers a good, clean and usually entertaining promo, he puts his working boots on for the big matches and he's so good at fighting from behind that he can turn fans towards him (see: WM). He's no The Rock, but then who is?

  6. What's funny is... Cena seems to be beloved by the ladies and the younguns, and booed by every male over the age of... oh, lets say 12.

Isn't that about the exact same spot demographic-wise that Shawn Michaels was in during his initial run with the belt?

Elijah Burke apparently blew the hell out of his knee during the ECW main event Tuesday night and will probably be sidelined for bit. I mention that in the sense that Cena could be the one thing that breathes some life in that slag of a show (although the aforemention m/e was very good). Put Cena on a complete heel turn; with RVD gone soon, the show will need a marquee name. Why not him? Either way, it's time for him to leave Raw. An HBK-Edge angle could work until HHH returns, and an HBK-HHH m/e for Summerslam would be intriguing. As boring as it will be, it will likely lead to a Cena (yawn) - Lashley (zzzz...) showdown.

Orton just is not a good fit anywhere. The talent is there, but something is missing (gay or not, he scored well based on the photo). No matter how hard they push him, the results have been disappointing. I'd say bring Kennedy to Raw. He's ready to explode in a big way.

That sounds right. The women were definitely with him. Probably the kids, too, though I'm not all that sure why. I think he had a little more cred with the male fans because of his ladder matches. I rememeber he had the same problem Cena had in the old-line cities like New York, where everyone cheered Sycho Sid against him in the title match at Survivor Series 96.

Michaels has been with WWE/F -- off and on -- since 1987. Time files.

I bet that got a few chuckles backstage.

I guess "poop brown" got voted down.

I'll never forget those ladder matches he had with Razor.

    Oh. My. God.

And the match with Sid in 96? Damn.
