But we all know the chances of that are slim and none.

Man, he really needs to learn how to work a match. Great look, great background, but he needs in-ring help.

Not when he was in ROH, he didn't.

    I missed that.

I like the guy, just from what I've seen and read, he's not making any friends based on his in-ring performance.

That's only because Trips didn't like him doing the top-rope Pedigree as his finisher...

Ah, Trips. Kibosher of many a would-be rising star. *sigh*

Speaking of Trips, in all honesty I can't wait for him to get back in the ring. It'll be interesting to see what they do with DX when he does come back.

(In case y'all didn't know, I'm a huge Trips mark.)

I love Trips, for sure. It's too bad every guy even half-way decent kicks off his 'let's squash him' instinct.

But as a wrestler, and especially as a promo-cutter, Trips kicks ass. I dig him.

Hell, I just mark out whenever I hear Motorhead playing "It's time to play the game."

Rok ... Punk can wrestle, bro. He was a star on the indy circuit, especially in Ring of Honor, which is known for its high quality matches. His 3-match series vs. Samoa Joe is still legendary among fans. He's also had great matches against Austin Aries, A.J. Styles, Colt Cabana, Christopher Daniels to name just a few.

But he's been WWE'ized. Any time WWE gets their hands on a new wrestler, they send them down to OVW to teach them the "WWE style" which consists of mostly punching and kicking. They've given him sort of an MMA gimmick, which was so far away from his style, it's mind boggling.

I'll give you an example that I mentioned elsewhere on this thread. I first saw James Gibson (Jamie Noble) in WWE and, well, I was undwhelmed. When they released him a couple years ago, he did the indy tour and ended up in ROH. His matches were spectacular. He had some classics against Bryan Danielson and Roderick Strong. But, since going back to WWE, it's back to the vanilla/cookie cutter wrestling style they force upon their guys. Same goes for Paul London. The guy's an exceptional wrestler and in WWE, he's only allowed to show 10 percent of what he can actually do. It's a shame.

Do yourself a favor, Rok. Go to ROHWrestling.com and pick up a couple of DVDs. If you want some recommendations, lemme know. I'll hook you up. I know when I first started watching ROH, it was a revelation.

I will, Gimp. I was talking about Lashley. He seems a bit inflexible.

But you know the guy should be able to go, he's a bonafide NCAA star, so you know he's athletic enough.

I love London and Noble. Both of those guys are great.

I do need to check out ROH, though. When I get the chance (and $$), I'll be sure to ask your advice, brother! :)
