He got major heel heat after Jesse The Body broke it to him that fans hated him (he'd been trying to get over as a face when he first got to the WWF).

The Bod told him (I remember this like it was yesterday) the fans had spoken and they "hated his greaseball hair and he should take a hike back to Podunk, Tennessee". Honky went nuts, said he was tired of being a nice guy and he wasn't going to kiss any more stinky babies. The rest is IC title history.

 

Huggy, thank you for that. Any mention of HTM is great, but one with JTB thrown in is only a plus.

Is anyone going to watch "The Condemned" movie with Austin when it comes out?

I'll probably wait for DVD.

 

Anyone care about TNA's PPV today?

Heard that Hemme's mystery tag team vs. VKM (this will actually be a pre-show match) is against members of Serotonin. It was supposed to be the Bashams' debut in TNA, but WWE no-compete clause is in effect for another week.

As for matches people are supposed to care about, I hope the Daniels/Lynn match is a good one. I also think Dudleys win NWA titles.

The movie is almost a copycat of a Japanese movie from back in the day. I forget the name of it, but instead of using inmates on death row, it's juvenile delinquents instead and it wasn't broadcast on tv or the internet. I've heard people say it's a good movie, so I'm assuming The Condemned is going to be as good. Maybe. I will get in out in theatre cause God knows I've paid for movie tickets to something that was going to be good that was total crap. Does the Incredible Hulk ring a bell?

 

I believe The Bashams aren't wrestling because every wrestler on the show was supposed to give a blood test because of the whole cage thing, but The Bashams weren't about to give theirs in time.

 

You mean "Battle Royale?" I thought the same thing when I saw the preview too.

 

Also, I find it hilarious that in all the promos and interviews the director kept saying "I can't believe it's taken this long to have a movie about reality television going too far."

As the reviewer on the Wrestling Observer Web site said:

"Um ... Didn't Running Man come out more than 20 years ago?"

Yeah, some Italian guy. Please tell me he's one of the old FBI guys from ECW, or some Italian star I've never heard of. I'd hate for this to be David Arquette all over again.

Way for WWE to cheapen title belts even more. And do they think people are that stupid that they would believe a "fan" would be the IC champion. Come on, Vince!!
