I thought Heyman was gone a long time ago?

He was bumped from ECW TV and from booking, but I think he still does stuff for them. I know he's still on the payroll.

I heard he was just sitting out the rest of his contract.

Take this for what it's worth, but I just saw on TNAwrestlingnews.com that RVD turned down the WWE's latest contract offer.

Maybe that's the star who Meltzer says is leaving after all?

The other day I picked up the Brian Pillman DVD and liked it. Interesting story and sad to see one of the matches with him in the Hart Foundation (Bret, Owen, Neidhart, Bulldog and Pillman) vs. Austin, Road Warriors, Golddust and Shamrock. Scary to know four of the 10 in the match are not alive.

    Backlash PPV tonight:

Benoit's going to lose his title tonight. I think that'll be the only title change.

Curious to know why MITB winner Mr. Kennedy isn't in a match on this PPV. Could it be that he shows up for a run-in to win a title ... perhaps takes out Orton and wins?

Will he go to TNA if he leaves WWE?

    SPOILERS

The winner of the match, and NEEEEEEEEW ECW World Heavyweight Champion ...

    ...

    ...

    Vincent K. McMahon.

On the one hand, ew. On the other hand, assumably they'll transition this to an actual ECW wrestler. I wonder if this means Lashley moves to Raw?

  9. That is absolutely disgusting. Just horrific. That my friends, was Vince's final stomp of the heart of all the old ECW fans out there. We all knew when this whole thing started that it wasn't going to be the old ECW, rather a the watered down WWE version, but having the ECW belt on Vince just, just, I can't even think of a world for it. I mean just think about all the guys who have held that title like Shane Douglas, Sabu, Terry Funk, Sandman, Bam Bam and Taz. And what about the guys that held the NWA Eastern Championship title. You know the one Douglas shit on in one of the most promos in professional wrestling. Guys like Snuka, Don Muraco and Tito Santana held that title.

Why does Vince see it fit to spit in the fact of great wrestling history? Of course that is a question we know the answer to, but God Damn this is frustrating.

Sounds like Backlash was a heckuva PPV. Looking forward to downloading it later and watching it.
    Anyone here watch it?

Why was it okay for Douglas to shit on the old NWA EC title, but it's wrong for McMahon to do the same to the ECW belt? Why is one shitting on tradition good and the other bad?
