My guess is there will be some sort of Dusty Finish to the world title match, causing the title to be vacated and crowning a new TNA champion in the King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary.

Then, I bet they just phase out the NWA tag titles.

According to Meltzer, they're introducing new TNA world and tag team belts tonight. Not sure if the NWA, or what's left of it, would keep the tag belts, but they'll continue to have the singles belt.

The one thing I truly miss from pro wrestling from when I was growing up (mid-80s) is when wrestling announcers would introduce a wrestler with the ...

"hailing from Hollywood Beach California, the two-time WWF Champion HHHHUUUUUULLLLLKKKKKKKKKK HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGAN"

and then they would clearly say "Hogan" after the gaudy intro.

Was this for Bill James? Documentation? Just to make sure his career stats were in order after the match?

God, I loved this and I miss it so.

You mean like MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTEEEEEEEEEERRRR KKEEEEEEENNNEEEEEEEEEEEDDYYYYYYYYYYYYY. ................... KEEENEEDDYYYY!!!

Let me say by the way, about TNA's PPV. It sounded like it was really good and finally back on track, but the main event seemed like an overbooked mess.

I realize why they did it the way they did to get rid of the NWA belt, hey I even predicted it (I've watched FAR too much pro wrestling because I generally pick 90 percent of PPV results correctly), but the Dusty Finish is so old and overused. All it did back in the 80s NWA was piss people off. Now, it's been done so many times, that it pisses people off worse.

Oh well, at least they didn't have Angle pull a Shane Douglas with the belt (knock on wood).

I guess in theory, Angle can always say he's a former NWA champion.

This also sets up June's PPV, TNA's anniversary show, nicely.

When does RVD's contract expire, exactly. Is it June?

    Raw tonight from Hampton, VA:

Edge will be there live giving his "farewell speech" after winning the World Heavyweight Championship on Smackdown! last Friday. He actually was at SD's house show tonight in Reading PA, too, and just arrived at the arena via private jet.

    Lashley vs. Coach. Yawn.

More Cena-Khali and Flair-Carlito buildup for Judgment Day.

The main event wasn't bad, but why didn't Edge get the win? HBK didn't really need the rub, especially after getting his ass kicked by Orton.

Orton-HBK? That's a Raw main event, but it's now a throwaway match on a PPV. Did Orton agree to work for free for a year or something? Orton, not Carlito, should be wrestling Val Venis. He shouldn't be able to have a match with HBK.

As for how Judgement Day is shaping up:

Cena vs. Khali -- Cena wins by DQ
Orton vs. HBK -- duh, HBK
Vince, Shane, Umaga vs. Lashley -- I think Umaga's about to turn on Vince and Shane and will let Vince lose to Lashley
Flair vs. Carlito -- Carlito wins to build up his heel heat and then Flair likes the attitude so much he agrees to manage him.
Edge vs. Batista -- Edge wins, maybe with Mark Henry's help to rekindle his feud with Batista.
Benoit vs. MVP 2/3 falls? -- Either MVP wins 2-0 or 2-1.
Punk vs. Burke -- Burke wins with the New Breed interfering (or Punk wins, but gets a beatdown after the match)

Raw tonight was OK. Main event was decent. One of the better matches actually, was Carlito-Venis. A few glitches, but not too bad.

ECW main event for Tuesday: Lashley vs. Burke, Stryker and Cor Von.

I also wonder if there'll be some kind of Hardys-Cade/Murdock rematch and a women's title match with Melina and Candice at Judgement Day.

I can't believe I can't find a picture of the new TNA titles. You would think somebody at the tapings would have taken a photo.

I guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow night when they're supposed to show them on TNA Today.
