Hulk Machine and Mr. America would have been a great tag team ;)

Man, just to think, I've always wondered what would have been if Russ Haas didn't pass away. The Haas Bros., what could have been...

Charlie, I think, still inscribes his brother's initials on his boots or tape when he wrestles.

Another interesting item from the Meltzer update today:

Chris Benoit has an interview in the new Fighting Spirit magazine talking about British wrestlers Marty Jones and Mark Rocco being way ahead of their time. He said he encourages the wrestlers at OVW and Deep South to seek out tapes of Marty Jones. When asked who the best technical wrestler in the game was, he said Finlay hands town, followed by Regal. He also really put over Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and A.J. Styles in that category, saying in particular he's a big fan of Styles and would love to see him in WWE. He said if there was a guy he'd like to do a program with, it would be Undertaker, since he's never done it, and put over Mr. Kennedy for his charisma.

God, I hope A.J. never leaves TNA. It'd just be like RVD all over again.

Agreed. AJ Styles is TNA, even if they haven't been using him correctly.

I would still like to see Samoa Joe in WWE eventually.

They would both be misused by the WWE, so I don't want it to happen. TNA, you can save face by putting Joe over Sting next week on Impact, (if you have done so already through the TV tapings) and keep teasing Daniels to eventually feud with Sting.

Is there any way RVD can show up at Slammiversary and be in the King of the Mountain match?

  10. I would think so, if his contract has simply expired. If he's been released, then there's a no-compete clause.

According to Keller, he was released on Wednesday, and the no-compete is in effect until September. TNA would screw him up like they've screwed up every major WWE castaway they've gotten their hands on. They could get Cena and Edge and within three months they'd be wrestling three-way matches with Robert Roode on Xplosions.

As somebody who grew up on Mid-South rasslin, I must order this DVD.
