Meltzer reporting today that Steve O and the cast of Jackass will be involved in a Summerslam main event.

Eek.

 

Are you freakin' kidding me? Summerslam used to be the PPV before WrestleMania that I couldn't wait for each summer...

 

Speaking of Summerslam, I'd highly recommend renting or owning the 2002 PPV.

Angle vs. Mysterio in the OPENER -- awesome
Flair vs. Jericho -- pretty good
Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero -- awesome
Un-Americans (Christian/Storm) vs. Booker T/Golddust for tag titles -- decent
RVD vs. Benoit for IC title -- another great bout
Test vs. Taker -- not great, not bad
HBK vs. HHH -- Holy S*** on a few spots, this was HBK's big return match after HHH turned on him
Rock vs. Brock Lesnar for the undisputed title -- very good.

Oh, and Trish serving sweet Stratusfaction via an ice cream truck on the SS commercial (on the extras). best line: "One scoop or two?"

 

I really wish I could get my hands on a copy of that PPV...

 

I went to SummerSlam '06. It was one of those shows that had a really good card on paper, but was mediocre to watch. Probably the opposite of my WM 23 experience a few months back.

I could see the Jackass gang involved in a match, but a main event? Gimme a break.

 

Somebody's slapped a copy of One Night Stand up on a certain Web site that airs videos.

Catch it now before it gets taken down.

 

I watched RAW on TIVO this morning -- I have to say, I much prefer the evil-owner Vince to the bipolar schizophrenic Vince. That was a ludicrous change for him.

 

Vince has had a couple of spells of worked psychotic behavior (the nWo return, McMahons vs. HBK/"God"). They usually suck. And by usually, I mean each and every one of them.
