I'm not shocked by Bret Hart anymore. No matter what he says about the whole issue, deep down we all know he likes it that Bret Hart's name is still mentioned and will always be mentioned whether it's about his wrestling or his dealings with Vince.

Here's the thing...that was the one match where I had nothing but respect for Cena. He knew he'd be the hated heel in front of that crowd, with RVD the conquering hero. Cena played the heel without playing the heel; he didn't flip off or tell off the crowd. He didn't cut an angry anti-ECW promo. He quietly came out and did a toned-down version of his face schtick, and did the job. The shirt-throwing thing was perfect. It worked the crowd into a frenzy from which it never came down.

  3. You know, I don't ask for Wire-esque narrative flow and connections in my wrestling.

That being said this draft format makes no sense. Let's say Edge beats Cena right now, earning a pick for Smackdown. What would prevent Teddy Long from just drafting Cena as opposed to some midcarder?

That match was one of the last times I loved watching Cena in a match. His character has gotten so stale lately it ain't even funny. And the storylines, ugh. When he and Edge first started out, it was something fresh, something great, something old school, so to speak. But then they kept having them in matches and it got old pretty quickly.

Honestly I don't see Edge or Cena switching shows right now. But anything can happen on the day when Bret Hart makes an appearance on Raw.

Well, that was a waste of a match.

  7. oh, "the computer" makes the picks at random. Blah.

Way to siphon all the intrigue and drama from the show. Then again, that's the only area where WWE shows consistent creativity.

EDIT: Nice to see a Vince McMahon appreciation night. Poor guy is so underexposed these days, and I can see how he'd need a little ego boost.

How many brands is Khali gonna get moved to before he finally gets released?

  9. Boogeyman to ECW? Guess they're officially admitting it's dead.

and now we get Snoop A Loop!

    Wasn't he already on SD?

Also, I can do without the randomization sound. That is so fucking annoying.

BTW, anyone know Boogeyman's real name? And why they went back to a white guy doing the character?

I think Khali has also been on ECW.

Let's see, he was with Daivari on SD, who then got shipped to ECW. Then he disappeared for a while and wound up on Raw. Now he's going back to SD? But he does have some great storyline options there....
