Drug overdose. She was living with Lex Luger, who made the 911 call. He was investigated, I believe arrested on drug possession charges, but nothing in connection with her death. Other than this and Owen's, that might have been the most shocking death because she always seemed a lot classier and above it all than your average wrestling valet. Tammy Sytch, yes. Missy Hyatt, the Jake Roberts of wrestling women, yes. Miss Liz? No way.

Yeah, but look who Miss Elizabeth was running with.

Even so. Luger you'd expect to drop dead at any moment from steroid-related heart disease or an OD, but Elizabeth was still, to most of us, Elizabeth. Should have stayed with someone sane, like Savage. Then she'd be with us, cutting raps on Hulk Hogan.

That was an odd commercial break right in the middle of the Benoit-Jericho match. It just suddenly went black and to a 2K Sports ad for an MLB game.

That's what I was thinking. And this is a damn good match, too.

I hate days like today. I can't even concentrate on my work. I've been a wrestling fan for about 26 years and Benoit was by far one of my favorites. Like many, I held him in the highest of regards. I don't think I could ever fully give up being a wrestling fan (I love the business too damn much), but I know exactly how ClawsForConcern feels. Some of the deaths, while shocking, aren't that surprising when you think of the steroids and drugs and lifestyles these guys live with day in and day out. But when Owen Hart was killed and now Chris Benoit, two guys who seemed to live life as great examples for other people (in and out of the ring) it really hurts.

Because it's a PPV match, so they don't have natural segueways into commercial breaks. They probably didn't think that far ahead when they came up with this.

Here we go. My favorite Benoit match from WM20. I hope they show the ending with Eddy.

It would be tragic enough if they died from something accidental such as carbon monoxide poisoning, but if the AJC is right about the possibility of murder-suicide, the tragedy is exponential. For the sake of Benoit's surviving children, another family members and their close friends, you've just got to hope it's not true.

I turned it on...and Triple H made me cry.

I think Edge was a little sadder, but then I'm always suspicious of HHH's motives.

Well, I just turned it on. And I left after Triple H to reapply my clove oil. So if Edge was after that, I missed it.

And I don't know who Edge is.
