I'm hoping Umaga puts Candace Michelle over. I also suspect she has better workrate than Cena now.

Holy fuck, Snitsky looks awful. Please tell me again why Vince feels he deserves a push?

Vince loves the big man. What he brings that Kane, Test, Tomko or any other interchangable single-named tall guys don't (outside bacne), I couldn't tell you.

And in the wake of Benoit, the last guy on earth they need to be giving face time to is Snitsky.

And I don't remember him being that big his first time around. How long was he gone?

I don't think he was gone that long, it just felt like it because he was on Heat as a low-level face for a few months before he shaved all his hair and went to ECW. He's an ugly motherfucker, and that I guess should count for something (see also: V, Big Daddy)

That's another thing. I know they're trying to channel One Man Gang with Vis, but does he have to incorporate the Vader sign too?

I think they're going more for the supersized Abdullah look than OMG. I guess the V sign is them not coming up with anything better.

You know, and maybe this was an angle or a worked spot and I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but I might have hit my jump-the-shark moment with wrestling, or at least WWE, tonight.

Jeff Hardy was wrestling Mr. Kennedy on Raw just now when he went up to the top rope for one of those sloppy-ass twisting moves that miss by a mile even when they hit. He slips and damn near lands directly on his head. It looked pretty bad for a second. Turned out he was okay, and they finished the match. But watching that pigfucker JR prattle on about how much heart he was showing by continuing the match and how all the fans wanted him to keep fighting, and given that pretty much every wrestler of consequence on their roster in the last few years has had major injuries, including serious neck injuries (Edge, Angle, Benoit, Austin), and there's all this attention paid to their schedule and need to use (and eventually abuse) painkillers, and here we are watching Jeff Hardy, who has had drug problems before that cost him his job with WWE, and he nearly breaks his neck, and they just keep on going with the announcers putting over his "toughness", and it's like not only are they not going to learn anything from Benoit, they seem to want to go out of their way to make sure they don't. And if that's going to be their attitude, then fuck them. Fuck them up and down.

I have been flipping around all night and stopped on USA when I saw Dusty Rhodes being stretchered out. How many days has it been since the Benoit double murder and suicide? Do we need to see people being stretchered away from the ring so soon?

That I don't mind, because we accept the occasional stretcher job as part of the show. Now if Orton choked out Cody Rhodes' mama, now we'd have problems.

London and Kendrick job, which seems like it makes their move from Smackdown kind of pointless. They really should think about stopping people from using the German suplex. God knows how many neck injuries that's directly and indirectly caused.

The 'Merican Dream is working again!?!

I use this thread to keep up with rasslin' these days, but I might have to start watching again.

Yeah, he's 62 and was in a bullrope match with Randy Orton last night. Still gives a good promo. He's around to help get his son Cody over. Cody looks like the bastard love child of Dusty and Shane McMahon, but apparently he's pretty good and a better prospect than Dustin was. Dustin, btw, working with TNA again.
