I can't believe I just saw Dusty Rhodes wrestling again.

How many territories did he ruin?

    What a joke.

  2. I had a bit of a problem with the stretcher bit last night becasue when they came back from break, JR and Jerry's mood was "oh, what a travesty," etc. Come on. I know it's an act but I just can't buy that type of stuff from them anymore.

    Meltzer's reporting this today:

Alex Marvez of this site (www.wrestlingobserver.com) has left the South Florida Sun-Sentinel for a job for Foxsports.com where he will be an NFL and MMA reporter, working with Jay Glazer.

I'm not going to let the steroid scandal interrupt my pure joy at Hornswaggle's title defense success.

    Sorry, he's on the clear

According to Meltzer, Lashley has a legit torn rotator cuff and could be until January in the worst-case scenario, and Jeff Hardy was sent home. Which explains a) Kennedy going over clean last night and b) Umaga and Santino Morelli making an oddly-timed double-turn.

Was tonight the debut of the Boogeyman's new face?

I'm pretty sure it was, unless he road-tested it at a house show or two. Almost looked like a different person, particularly around the eyes.

    Boogeyman-Big Daddy V isn't exactly a GQ feud, eh?

I know this thread has done pretty good in terms of moving past the Chris Benoit stuff, but thought I'd post this here on Dynamite Kid's comments about Benoit to The Globe, a UK tabloid paper. I saw this on www.gerweck.net

Tom "Dynamite Kid" Billington comments on Chris Benoit in the tabloid, The Globe: "I feel no sympathy for him. We all knew the dangers. Benoit should have known his limits. We've all been through it, but we didn't take it out on our loved ones. His poor wife and child didn't deserve to die just because Benoit screwed his life up. I'm glad he's dead! I warned Benoit to be careful - the wrong combination could send you over the edge. I'm convinced that's what happened here. He got it wrong, and his wife and son paid the price."

I didn't see Umaga's turn. He still seemed like a heel to me. Santino arguing with the refs -- yeah, I can see that as his turn. But what did Umaga do that makes him a face now? Just because he beat up Santino? So what, he beats up everybody in his path -- that's his schtick.
