  1. Another result . . . .

Beth Phoenix wins Diva battle royal. Obviously, not much to this. Phoenix eliminates Torrie Wilson and Michelle McKool for the win.

After match, MVP comes out with two guys carrying a cooler. Earlier in the night, MVP promises Vince some kind of competition between him and Matt Hardy. So MVP challenges Hardy to a beer drinking contest. See where this is going. So Hardy comes out and says since MVP got Holyfield as a sub for the boxing match, Hardy got one for this contest and out comes Stone Cold.

So Austin starts getting ready by running the ropes, does some pushups and jumping jacks. Just when they are about ready to go, Austin gives MVP a stunner and then does the usual post match celebration. Obviously, everyone live ate this one up.

  2. Another result. . .

John Morrison pins CM Punk to retain ECW title. Morrison uses the ropes to pin Punk. Kind of a disappointing finish. Match wasn't too bad, but crowd wasn't into it much. Finish saw Morrison hold on to the top turnbuckle as Punk went for the Hurricanrana. Punk landed on the back of his head and Morrison used his legs on the middle rope for the pin.

  3. Another result. . . .

Triple H wins his return match over King Booker (T). Pretty basic match, not surprising there. Trips came out to a monster pop, of course. Trips looked to be in good shape. Has shed some weight, put obviously not the Triple H in his prime.

Finish saw Trips kick out of a Book End. Then after some back and forth, Booker layed out Trips and attempted the old Harlem Hangover, but missed. Booker reversed The Pedigree at first, but then caught a kick to the gut and Trips executed The Pedigree.

  4. Another result. . .

Unexplainable one here, Batista wins over Khali by DQ. Khali uses a chair to the back of Batista for the DQ finish. Just a horrible ending to a somewhat horrible match. Batista did everything he could do to make this look good, including getting in a decent looking spinebuster on Khali. After the match, Batista beats the holy hell out of Khali with a chair. Just don't understand Khali retaining here.

They may be aiming for a gimmick rematch that Batista finally wins. Though it may not matter at this point, since Batista's basically holding it for when Edge comes back. Then it sets up Edge-Undertaker, the two guys with undefeated Wrestlemania marks.

  6. Definitely makes sense.

I think what it boils down to is Vince reads the Internet too much and when his finishes get "predicted," he changes the finishes.

Of course, only the ones that do not involve HHH and friends.

I still expect Orton to win the strap from Cena, but that's one of those you never know.

Cena's had the title for a year, which is an eternity in 21st century pro wrestling, so I'd not be surprised if Orton won it here. He won his first world title three years ago at Summerslam. Oddly enough, they haven't mentioned that. It's as though they don't want to invoke the name of his opponent for some wacky reason.

  9. They did mention the win during the match, which is still going. Of course, the opponent wasn't named.

  10. Final result of the night . . .

<SIGH> Cena pins Orton to retain WWE title. Looks like McMahon has duped everyone again. The last few sequences saw Orton grab the roped to break up the STFU. Just as both were getting up from that, Orton hits the RKO. But Cena kicks out at the last possible nanosecond. Then Cena hits Orton with the FU for the pin. Not a stellar match by any means, but it was solid. No main event this year has come close to the show Cena and Umaga put on at Royal Rumble. This could have been that type of match, but it wasn't. So where does Cena go now is the question.

Geez, what a boring show. Vince outsmarts the Internet fans again, to hell with storylines.

The only entertaining thing I've read from this show, again, was Stone Cold Steve Austin (Rey Rey is always entertaining).

No offense, but I'm glad it was your $40 and not mine. :p

  12. LOL, it's ok. This is the reason why I only order the big four. I would hope for a better than average show when it comes to the big four, and this was a thumbs in the middle kind of PPV. I've spent money for worse PPVs than this one. But it doesn't seem like I'm missing much if I passed over some of these. Tough call for me because I remain a loyal WWE fan despite all the crap. Even though I don't like the work rate of the wrestlers, much rather watch ROH any day, WWE is a childhood thing I haven't been able to let go of yet. Sounds corny, but true.
