I can't imagine them making Cena a heel. I just don't see it. As much as guys hate him as a face, he's a big sell and they're making truckloads of money. Why risk that he'll flop as a heel? Besides, we've already seen Cena's dad -- twice. Monday and some time last year when Edge went to Cena's dad's house and assaulted him. So Cena's no bastard (unless that becomes a story too -- Cena's dad isn't really his dad...)

But Kennedy is too obvious at this point. The way they change things around when the internets predict what's going to happen make it unlikely that Kennedy will be the bastard. Just my opinion.

Went to Raw on Monday night. Crowd was hot, certainly more vocal than the dead New Jersey SummerSlam audience. I thought the show was pretty good. After the cameras stopped, Orton came back out and demanded a title shot against Cena. Cena failed to report to the ring, so Orton demanded he be named WWE Champ. Just as Lillian Garcia was about to announce Orton as Champ, Triple H's music hit. He came out, they wrestled a solid 8 or so minute match, which HHH won with a pedigree. Triple H posed for the crowd, slapped tons of hands around ringside, and milked his reception for a good 10-15 minutes.

Crowd was about 85% behind Cena, which was quite surprising considering they were largely against him at SummerSlam '06.

Orton is hilarious. Standing outside of a Chinese resturaunt in nearby Saugus, Corona in hand, he drunkenly scribbled his name on whatever was put in front of him. When asked for pictures, however, he only posed with women. This angered one particular fan decked out in Cena gear, who got under Orton's skin by ripping on him. Orton walked up to him, tossed his hat off, and said something about sucking Cena's dick and "you probably have Cena's rap album too, ya fucking mark." After the women cleared out, he asked if any men wanted a picture with him. When about 10 or 11 raised there hands, he turned around and deadpanned "Alright, good night". When some guy asked if Orton would pose for a picture for a dollar, Orton looked back with a half-joking sneer: "A fucking dollar?" The entire crowd around him cracked up. Orton walked to the door, turned around at the entrance, smiled, and graciously waved goodbye to the fans. Snitsky passed out at this restaraunt, or so I heard. Robbie from The Highlanders is a very nice guy, signing and posing and asking fans if they enjoyed his Heat match that night, telling younger fans that he faced a former member of the Spirit Squad in the match.

    SPOILER
Looks like Rey vs. Khali at Unforgiven. That should be a interesting match to watch, although it's going to suck. Also, appears like they are setting up Finlay-Batista, Orton-Cena, Triple H-Carlito, Cryme Tyme-Redneck Wrecking Crew, Undertaker-Mark Henry. Wouldn't mind seeing Booker T starting a feud with Jeff Hardy.

Yeah, throwing common sense, continuity and all measures of good taste out the window never happens in the WWE

The WWE has suspended 10 wrestlers for violating drug policy, though none of them have been identified yet.

WWE suspends 10 stars for violating policy on steroids and other drugs

By JOHN CHRISTOFFERSEN, Associated Press Writer
    August 30, 2007

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) -- World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended 10 of its wrestlers for violations of a policy that tests for steroids and other drugs, the company said Thursday.

Stamford-based WWE says it issued suspension notices based on independent information from the prosecutor's office in Albany County, N.Y., which has been investigating illegal steroid sales.

Neither the WWE nor the Albany County district attorney's office would comment on the suspended wrestlers' identities Thursday. No criminal charges were filed, they said.

Under a WWE wellness policy instituted last year that requires tests for steroids and other drugs, a wrestler faces a 30-day suspension without pay for a first violation, a 60-day suspension for a second violation and firing for a third violation. Performers are tested at least four times per year.

"We are very actively working to eradicate the use of steroids and performance enhancing drugs in the WWE," WWE spokesman Gary Davis said. "Today's action is part of that effort."

WWE officials met this month with New York prosecutors investigating illegal steroid sales. Albany County prosecutor P. David Soares' office has said that pro wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his family before hanging himself in June, and other WWE wrestlers had been clients of Signature Pharmacy of Orlando, Fla. Investigators say Benoit had a steroid and other drugs in his system at the time.

When Soares' office began investigating the illegal sale and distribution of controlled substances, he said, his office sought the help of WWE after a number of its wrestlers appeared on customer lists of clinics connected with Signature Pharmacy.

Nine people, including three current or former physicians, have pleaded guilty, most affiliated with Internet and phone-order companies that filled orders for anabolic steroids and growth hormones through Signature and sent drugs to customers around the country, including Albany County.

Signature's owners have pleaded not guilty.

The Benoit case prompted the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee to ask WWE to turn over any information it has on steroid and drug abuse in pro wrestling. The committee has not yet scheduled a hearing on the case.

WWE said the company's practice has been to not release the names of suspended wrestlers, but the company has notified performers that starting Nov. 1 the names of those suspended for violating the policy will be made public.

WWE has about 160 wrestlers. WWE shares closed Thursday at $14.80, down 21 cents.

So who here thinks the cartoonish era of WWE isn't ready to make a comeback in hopes of keeping the kiddies interested?

    Read this item:

Following elbow surgery, Hardcore Holly was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling on a rehab stint. He told the company that he had no feeling from the elbow to the hand. At this point, his elbow injury is considered career threatening. Apparently WWE had plans to bring him back to television to form a tag team with Eugene as an odd couple team, with a monkey as their manager.

Found this on www.gerweck.net, but they credited Wrestling Observer with this information.

Given all the suspensions, I wouldn't be shocked to see a version of Doink main eventing soon.

I sure as hell hope they don't do this angle.

According to Meltzer, they won't. Eugene was fired on Saturday. Simon Dean, er, Mike Bucci, was also fired.
