    From Mike Johnson of ProWrestlingInsider.com:

World Wrestling Entertainment's Stephanie McMahon and John Laurinaitis held a meeting with the Smackdown and ECW talent last night in Cincinnati, Ohio prior to yesterday's television tapings to discuss new changes to the WWE Wellness Policy:

*The company will begin to test for marijuana shortly. A positive will not result in a suspension but all positives will be met with a fine of, at least, $1000 per offense.

*The company will also begin testing for anti-estrogen drugs, which can be taken to offset some of the effects of steroid and HGH use. A positive for any anti-estrogen agents will result in Wellness suspensions.

*The company also announced that any new potential hires will have to undergo and pass the WWE Wellness test before they are signed to the company.

Good thing RVD isn't on the roster. I understand pot isn't legal and you don't want to come off as though you condone it, not when you're in the process of being investigated by Congress, but this is the least of their worries.

Good thing Chyna's not on the roster.

Not as much of an issue as it sounds. Most of WWE's hires are kids that get sent to OVW or Florida Championship Wrestling (the new low minors league they started to replace Deep South on their developmental scale). I don't know how much of an issue drugs are to the 20-year olds indy workers they're apt to hire, since they probably can't afford them. It does mean that any big hires they make will have to shape up, so that's something. It means no chance at returns for Kurt Angle and Scott Steiner, at any rate.

Here's who should be title holders in wake of all the news of late:

    Raw:

    Heavyweight title: Carlito
    IC title: Super Crazy
    Tag Titles: London and Kendrick

    Smackdown:

    Heavyweight title: Matt Hardy
    U.S. title: Jimmy Wang Yang
Tag titles: Shannon Moore and Jamie Noble
Cruiserweight title: Hornswoggle (given the state of things, this makes sense!)

    ECW
Heavyweight title: CM Punk (already done)

Jimmy Wang Yang would be pretty pathetic as U.S. champion. But stranger things have happened.

    Bring back Tajiri!

According to PWInsider, Cryme Tyme has been fired after some sort of incident during last night's house show match with Cade and Murdoch. Not sure what for, unless the trucker hat they stole from Murdoch to sell to the fans was really sentimental to them. Not a drug issue.

Meltzer indicated it may have been some sort of backstage scuffle.

So by my count, the WWE is down to about, oh, 7 active wrestlers at this point. Well, that's four hours per week I'll have back to devote to more useful ventures...

    OK, couple of questions:

    1) Who exactly has been suspended? I've been looking online, and at different sites I swear I've seen just about every wrestler listed as suspended at some point.

    2) When was RAW taped? I've seen spoilers of it already, and it's not Monday night (although I realize today is Labor Day so they may have taped early).

    3) Why was Eugene fired? I haven't seen why anywhere. Same question, insert 'Cryme Time' for Eugene.

No known reason for Eugene's axe.

go to www.wrestlingobserver.com for the most truthful and factual suspensions.

This supposedly comes from PWTorch's VIP site:

Apparently Eugene had a prescription drug show up on the drug test, he couldn't produce a script for it, WWE couldn't get the script, so since it was his third offense, he was fired. No big loss

Allegedly Cryme Tyme told Cade and Murdoch something like "whatever happens in the ring happens" backstage prior to a house show match. Cade and Murdoch responded by setting up a prank with the referee in which he speeds up his count at the end of the match so Cryme Tyme lost by countout (the original finish was for one of the CT members to just beat the count). Cryme Time lost and improvised a spot where they gave the referee their finisher, then stole his belt and sold it to the fans. That, and backstage attitude, cost them their job, though there's a chance they'll get hired back at some point since a) it wasn't a drug issue and b) they've gotten over as a good mid-card comedy act (the crowd did the "yeah yeah" when they did their "money money" thing, which reminded me of the give and take Godfather had with the fans).

Chris Cage (a OVW worker with some big-time drug issues, NOT former WWE mid-carder Christian Cage) was supposed to get a trial match this weekend, but he was instead escorted from the arena because they don't really need that kind of pub right now. Apparently what they need ... is ROBERT GIBSON OF THE ROCK AND ROLL EXPRESS, who apparently is in really good shape and might actually be a wrestler. Make of that what you will.
