What was the breaking point? Flair's done so much stupid shit in WWE (and even stupider shit in the last days of WCW) that it almost certainly wasn't a dumb angle. First Benoit/drug-related walkoff?

If he goes to TNA, I hope it's as a manager. Maybe the greatest wrestler ever, but he's at an age where he shouldn't be putting his body through it. I hope WWE doesn't own the rights to the Four Horsemen name.

Probably why the deal reportedly offered Jericho hit seven figures.

If I remember correctly, the people standing around the ring, save Kennedy, were all B-listers. Cena, Orton, HHH, Bautista -- all their biggest stars were absent for that spot. It was the Val Venises and Funakis and Jimmy Wang Yangs of the world if I remember correctly.

I don't remember Steph's exact words at that time, though. Maybe she said something along the lines of "is here tonight," meaning the wrestler was simply in the building somewhere, but not necessarily by the ring. Or maybe it was Hornswoggle, and he was under the ring.

My vote is going to Shawn Michaels. He's been gone for a while and, though I don't remember his exact injury, he could be ready to return. Plus, with all the feuds he's had with McMahon, it would be funny to see him as Vince's son. All those times DX tortured Vince, and Shawn Michaels was his son. That would possibly set up some kind of Shawn Michaels vs. Vince or Michaels vs. Shane at Unforgiven.

Michaels is about 45 years old, which would make Vince about 10 at the time of his birth.

If they keep to the "he's around the ring," which is what they said, I'm going with Hornswaggle, who, as you pointed out, they could say was under the ring.

If they forget that fact, I'm going with Big Show.

I'd be pretty shocked if they brought back Big Show. He blasted the WWE on his way out, and when he did promo work leading up to his match with Hulk Hogan in Memphis a few months ago, he said that Big Show was his "slave name". Not that Vince isn't willing to patch things up for the sake of money, but not this quickly.

    My predictions:
If they use someone on the roster: Orton
    If they go outside: Jericho

Vince is 62 and HBK is 42. So he would have been 20. Definitely possible.

Even if it weren't, since when does the WWE's booking make any sort of logical sense, anyway?

Didn't realize Vince was that old.

Hope I'm in that good of shape when I'm 62.

Orton could make sense in that he looks up when he poses. But I don't believe he was around the ring when they said that statement. None of the stars were. But since when does WWE use logic?

    From wrestlingobserver.com:

--TNA has decided against using Andrew Martin any longer. He had not been signed to a contract.

Just what WWE would not need: Another HHH-Test feud.

Yeah, I was going to say -- Vince is old enough to be Shawn Michaels' dad -- I thought I heard or saw somewhere that he was in his 60s.

And I don't think Orton was in the group around the ring that night. Like I said, it was Divas and mid-card and lower guys. No top flight stars this side of Mr. Kennedy.

If they scrap or conveniently forget the whole 'here around the ring' thing -- I'd say Shawn Michaels, since he wasn't there.

If they stick to it -- Hornswoggle, who they'll say was under the ring

Also, anybody have a list yet of all who are suspended? Regal, Umaga, Johnny Nitro (fuck that Morrison crap) for sure. But King Booker was conspicuously absent Monday. And Orton only did a taped promo (might they be keeping him out except for the PPV, and only that because it's too late to scrap it?). Edge and Gregory Helms are injured. I know I'm missing the Smackdown people because that hasn't aired yet and I haven't read the spoilers.

If they sign Test in the wake of all these steroid-based suspensions, they're fucking nuts. Plus they had just let him go a few months ago. Unless ... ew. Test as McMahon's kid? The same Test who tried to marry Stephanie? Ewwwwwwwwww.

TNA again doesn't know how to handle new talent. Bring him in to even the sides in Christian Coalition vs. Sting/Abyss feud, putting him in the main event as soon as he walked through the door, then forget all about him? They're not handling themselves well. Unless not using Test anymore is their reaction to the steroid suspensions.

I like that TNA got rid of the stupid Test name, but Andrew Martin still wrestles like Andrew Martin.

And hey, if Snitsky wasn't suspended, with the size of those zits on his back, then nothing would surprise me.
