TNA doesn't have what it takes for a 2-hour show. Yes, they have talented guys, but there needs to be a lot of rebuilding done for guys who should be main event material. Angle-Sting is a decent main event that even WWE has never been able to do, but let's put Karen Angle on the sidelines so it is about an Angle-Sting match, not about Karen. Abyss is a better big man than just about anyone else on their roster (save Samoa Joe) or WWE's for that matter. AJ Styles is a wingman for Christian and is a joke these days. He's a multi-time NWA champ that was never taken seriously. Robert Roode needs to be a bigger deal and his match with Kazarian was a good move for both guys. Chris Harris can be more than what he's been too. Chris Daniels should also be a bigger deal. The women's division needs a boost. Keep Kim, Brooks and get Lita and Cheerleader Melissa. Dump Jackie and Christy Hemme.

TNA should also dump a few wrestlers -- Dustin Rhodes, goodbye! Kevin Nash, see ya (although he's not a wrestler anyway). Raven, adios! Team 3D, go back to WWE and then retire! Steiners should also go away and VKM should break up or put over Shelley and Sabin and give those guys the belts.

For pro wrestling's sake TNA better hope the 2-hour format works. One thing, though, can the voices of Tenay and West last for an entire two-hour show? Turn down the volume, PLEASE or go do car sales infomercials!

The RVD/Sabu thing is a good idea in theory, but you're not going to tell a former WWE champion that he's got to be a TNA tag-team champion. Plus, there's no guarantee RVD will even sign with anyone else.

I agree that RVD to TNA would be great -- Styles vs. RVD, Daniels vs. RVD, Lethal vs. RVD, Petey Williams vs. RVD. That makes the X-Division title worth something again.

Sabu (and now Sandman) should retire from wrestling IMO.

I also wonder how the taping schedule will work now in TNA.

Can they still tape all in one night? Four hours would surely burn out the crowd and the wrestlers.

The schedule is one of the things that makes TNA such a popular destination for a lot of wrestlers. I wonder if Kurt can hold up if he has to go to tapings every week again?

Putting the straps on RVD and Sabu, I think would work because it would make the belts mean something, it should establish tag teams instead of the WWE version of breaking up teams once they get hot, and when it's over and the next champs are ready, then RVD can join that upper echelon.

Another name I'd like to add to the list of they need: Chris Jericho.

Agree on Styles. Great talent and badly misused. Agree on Dustin, too. Have always hated that family.

I can't believe how much they continue to bury Alex Shelley. It was refreshing to see the Machine Guns go as deep in the Battle Royal as they did, but they should have won.

Has Jeff Jarrett decided to be behind the scenes for good or what? If he comes back, he should ONLY be putting over others.

  9. Regarding the "fire Russo" stuff, it's my understanding that Jarrett and Mantell are the primary creative voices.

Just having Russo in the mix is enough for most people to distance themselves from TNA.

I have no idea how long his contract with WWE goes, and how long his no-compete would last (assuming he'd have one), but this looks like a job for Paul Heyman.

I agree, MM. But Heyman has legit heat with Cornette, so I don't see it happening.

Jarrett and Mantell have their ideas, but trust me -- Russo's prints are all over many of the angles.

You'll see Mantell and Jarrett's stuff when it resembles old-time Memphis. Russo's shit is what killed WCW: Angle in little red undies, the Karen Angle crap, etc.
