I really do think it's Jericho. I'd be shocked if he isn't in WWE by WrestleMania 24. Vince will throw a fistful of money at him and from what I've read Chris misses the industry now that he's been away a good 2 years. Plus what is he doing now? Touring with Fozzy and making cameos on I Love the 80's?

And don't forgot he has an anticipated autobiography coming out in late October that's supposed to be the best wrestling book since Foley's first. I'd think he'd want to promote it on WWE television or atleast get his name back out there to wrestling fans. The foreword's written by Jim Ross, a (former) high-up in WWE.

I'll have to check that one out. Foley's first book is in my collection, as is his children's book he wrote, so I'll have to get this one.

I've heard raves on Jericho's book, but it's only out in Canada and won't be released in the states until 2008.

After Foley's "Have A Nice Day," the only thing that comes close is "Pure Dynamite," which I still pick up and read at least once a year.

Loved Dynamite Kid and hated The Mountie -- even more after reading the book.

    From WrestlingObserver.com:

--Much of the speculation regarding the SaveUs.222 clip that played last night on Raw for 10/7 (the No Mercy show) revolves around it being the return of Chris Jericho. 7Oct is text in the clip (the day of No Mercy) and cd_volume4_1.act and the fist track on WWF The Music Volume 4 is Jericho's theme music. The time works out perfectly with his book coming out, it would be the time he'd want his presence back on television. If nothing else, the hints are designed to make people think it's Jericho, and in this case, it seems to add up.

I liked reading that. Here's hoping it's true.

Meltzer added that Jericho's upcoming book signing schedule doesn't have him doing any on Mondays. Seems like a return to Raw is in his near future.

How long until he gets jobbed out by HHH?

Jericho would be kept away from HHH I believe because even HHH has to realize that they need him, especially in light of all the talking he did during the Benoit stuff. Jericho, aside from his one poor effort on Larry King, was a voice of reason during that time IMO.

Jericho as a face will help keep him away for a bit -- or at worst, he'll tag with HHH.

And in case you wondered if TNA would take the high road in this, the tumultuous post-Benoit time in which we live, from Impact tapings for the Oct. 11 show (SPOILERS DON'T LOOK UNLESS YOU WANT STUFF SPOILED):

Team Pacman defeated Elix Skipper & Senshi. During the match, the referee prevented Pacman from doing anything physical in the match, since he wasn't tagged in. Skipper had Killings pinned, but Pacman threw money at him, "making it rain". This distraction allowed Killings to get the pin on Skipper.

He also, according to another spoiler report, hit Senshi in the balls with a football

So he makes light of the incident that started a riot, got him suspended from the league and oh yeah, led to the paralysis of an innocent bystander.

On the other hand, he referenced Hans Moleman, so I guess it's not a total loss.

Jericho as a face would be good for a few months, but Chris was born to be a heel. And I want to see more of that great Cena-Y2J feud from '05.

Here's what I would do: Have Cena beat Orton at No Mercy again. Begin a Cena-Mr. Kennedy feud on the next Raw which would set up Cena-Kennedy for the title at the next PPV. Have that Raw main event be a handicap match, Cena vs. Kennedy/Orton. Kennedy brings in a steel chair, goes to town on Cena. Bell rings. They destroy Cena. As Kennedy/Orton are celebrating....the arena goes black, a strange video promo with a countdown emerges and all of a sudden..."BREAK THE WALLS DOWN!" Jericho comes out, cuts a killer promo on Orton/Kennedy, how pathetic they are, how he is coming back to rid Raw of these useless blowhards, etc.

Simple yet effective and the next few month's would be set up with Cena vs. Kennedy for the title, Orton vs. Jericho, and what they have planned is HHH vs. Umaga. Three top Raw matches that sound pretty good in my mind. And you could have a returning King Booker start a feud for the IC Title with Jeff Hardy.

The TNA shit isn't Pacman's doing. It has Russo's fingerprints all over it. (See Flair, Ric fake heart attack angle)

I wish they would give up on Hardy. I just don't see him as anything but a tag team guy, and have never really liked him.

The IC belt should be fought over by guys ready for a top spot, i.e., Shelton Benjamin and Carlito. But when HHH pisses all over titles by jobbing the guys out, it renders them meaningless anyway.
