  1. I think the latest projection was 8-10 weeks. Definitely blows, but I'm sure they'll have him on TV soon to keep the feud going in some form this way they can have a US title match at Royal Rumble.

Actually it's almost a good thing. The beating MVP gave Hardy last week screamed "writing Hardy out", and now they can play it up for the next 2-3 months while Hardy recovers.

I'm starting to warm up to Matt Hardy (a lot more than his headcase brother), but MVP is destined for stardom.

I hope his heart holds up, because he should be up there above the glass ceiling, even more than Kennedy.

Haven't heard anything on Haas' fate, but hopefully there's a spot in TNA awaiting him. Benjamin and Burke would be an interesting duo, even though they're buried in that slag heap known as ECW. The upside is that it decreases the prospects of yet another Punk vs. The Giz vs. Morrison as the main event each Tuesday. Can't say that jobbing to Jesse and Festus will do wonders for Duce and Domino's long-term future.

Briefly flipped on TNA last night. Trust me, you missed nothing.

I don't know. The last match between Samoa Joe, Styles and Sabin was pretty good.

And on another note, YouTube might be the greatest thing to happen to wrestling fans in a long time. You can find matches on there for almost anyone you want from any time you want. It's wonderful. I just hope WWE doesn't try to pull a power play and get stuff off there that they have in their vault. I've spent a bunch of time home alone this weekend looking up old Jericho matches and even older stuff with the Von Erichs and Arn Anderson. I love YouTube.

Between wrestling and old ass videos, you can kill plenty of time on You Tube. I knew it was gold when I found the "Bad Street USA" video from the Freebirds. Growing up in Houston, it was also pretty damn cool to find past matches from a lot of the wrestlers I grew up watching like Hacksaw Butch Reed, Bruiser Bob Sweetan, the Sheepherders (before the WWF wussed them out) and the original Four Horseman. Looking at Ric Flair in the 1980s makes you remember just how great a talent (both ring and mic) he was. Hopefully, tonight's appearance will be the beginning of the end.

Oh my god, Bad Street, USA. Frigging awesome. I just marked out like a little kid watching it. I couldn't have been but like 7 or 8 when it came out. The Freebirds are one of the greatest heel stables of all time, with Michael "Purely Sexy" Hayes just awesome on the mic (watching the video made me think of Jericho, but Hayes had that cocky-ass strut that pissed off Southern folks), and Terry Gordy was an awesome enforcer. He had some great matches with Kevin and Kerry Von Erich. And then Buddy Roberts, who seemed like a throw-in but had some good moments in tag matches, and the later add-in of Jimmy Garvin, who fit in so well with Hayes. They were just awesome. Loved to hate them. There aren't many stables built up any more, heel or face, but the Freebirds are the blueprint for a great heel stable.

Garvin, by the way, is shown in the Bad Street video if you look closely.

Ric Flair back on Raw tonight. Will he announce his retirement?

Confirmed matches on Raw tonight: Mickie James vs. Melina with the winner facing Beth Phoenix for the Women's Title at Armageddon and Umaga/Snitsky vs. Jeff Hardy/HHH. Eh...I'll watch if only for Y2J.

Also, early word regarding the WrestleMania 24 card is HHH wants to turn heel and headline vs. HBK. Not like we haven't seen that before, but sounds like Trips is getting the heel itch. I say they give us HHH vs. Ric Flair in Flair's last match (if he's really ready to go). It would absolutely steal the show.

Sid Vicious has been talking to McMahon and the WWE on a return to the ring. Dawn Marie wants in on TNA and has been working her ass off following a recent pregnancy to get back into shape. Carlito put in his notice and it's expected he will depart sometime in December, which is also the month when Bobby Lashley will return.

From what I've heard, Flair wants to battle at Wrestlemania. That could be his last match, but he wants to wrestle as long as he is healthy, while McMahon wants him to retire.

  11. If that's Flair's attitude, I'm sure TNA will come calling at some point.

Flair vs. Trips at WM24...I like it.

    Teacher vs. protege.
