I wonder if Samoa Joe looks at Umaga and thinks "thank God I didn't sign with WWE"?

Didn't Umaga come along after Samoa Joe?

Umaga came about during Samoa Joe's TNA run. At one point Joe was thinking about signing with WWE (he was on either a short-term or nightly deal with TNA along with working ROH and the indies), because he wasn't happy with TNA's long-term offer. WWE really wanted him apparently and had a gimmick ready for him, but Joe stayed with TNA, and a few months later here comes Umaga, who had a pretty decent run in Japan (so he's better than the Jamal of 3MW days).

There's almost no way they would have let him just be Samoa Joe, asskicker deluxe. If it wasn't this, they would have come up with some other fruity gimmick, or just done a default savage headhunter deal like all the Samoans before Joe got.

i never knew they sent Jam....er, Umaga, to Japan. Oh well. I still don't think he deserves a title push. Let Trips or HBK win it and then split DX up like they did all those years ago.

I thought about putting this on the jobs board, but then, this really belongs in a spot that'll be seen by the true fans ...

Of course, one thing to consider, they'd likely never hire any of us because we'd be too busy trying to give them ideas that make SENSE that our resumes would end up in the trash just like Rhino did to the ECW title and Madusa did to the WWE women's title.

No openings for a writer? Damn...

  9. Can you think about what WWE would be like right now if one of us was the head writer? It would be like in the glory days of The Rock, Stone Cold and the original DX. They will never come close to that again.

And a thought on ECW, the whole thing went to shit when they decided one match a week would be under extreme rules. What a fucking joke. We all knew this was going to be Vince's version of ECW, but to take out the extreme in ECW is blasphemy. It makes guys like Sabuu useless. I wish he would go back to TNA. Yeah we all know part of the reason guys started to leave the original ECW was the less demanding style, but still. If you want to make the ECW house shows like that, then fine. Have one fight a night that is extreme. But for the TV and PPVs, you have to go all out. Remeber that show at the Hammerstein earlier this year with the main even being Show versus Batista? What a fucking joke that was and the crowd there, who were real ECW fans, let Vince and the rest of the rest of WWE know the hardcore, educated wrestling fan wasn't going to support this rebirth of ECW.

TNA is so much better than WWECW that it's not even funny.

Although Vince Russo really pisses me off with his stable fetish, the excessive title switches and crazy-ass gimmicks.

I wish they'd put Cornette in charge.

Vince Russo is the main reason I don't watch a lot of TNA.

There are a few things I don't like about the show right now:
    1. They brought back Sting, built him to beat Jarrett for the title, only to lose to Abyss at the very next PPV.
    2. Flag burning? WTF?
    3. LAX having to "surrender" the tag titles or be fired?
    4. Vince Russo.
    5. Abyss' manager being the "only one who can control the monster." Sound familiar?
    6. Vince Russo.
    7. Mike Tenay.
    8. Vince Russo.
