I thought Austin's beer of choice was Bud.

Started out Coors Light, then Bud, and now it's Miller Lite.

Every credible wrestling source claims he's a snake and it's easy to believe. Plus, he's not that funny and thinks he is and is boring when he tries to be serious.

    Cool entrance though.

  5. I liked it with everyone in the ring toasting. two nice touches in that: Punk drinking pepsi and Regal, who almost got added to The List due to his addictions in the 90s, drinking coke.

Well, yeah, seeing as Punk is a walking advertisement for Pepsi. And there's that whole straightedge thing, too.

True, but I wish there were some way they could get him to come back at least for one storyline with Jericho or someone.

The Rock wants to disassociate himself with wrestling because he wants to be known as a serious actor and not typecast.

For the most part, I enjoyed the show. Could have done without the Ho Train, The Baseball guy, Bischoff, Al Snow (and that stupid head that everyone had to sell for), Hogan and Bastion Booger. Couldn't stand any of them then and can't stand them now.

I had either Backlund or Neidhart winning the royale. Silly me for thinking.

Ted DiBiase was one of my early favorite wrestlers of all-time, but I absolutely hated the MDM gimmick. When I was about 10 or 11 (I think it was 1975) and DiBiase was just getting his start, we sat chatted for a few minutes before a match in my hometown in Missouri. He was a rookie and we hit it off. I've never forgotten that.

I agree too much HHH. But hey, it's his show now.

Austin is far and away the choice for most popular Raw superstar on the WrestlingObserver.com poll. I say that because I knew Vince was going to claim it.

No way Undertaker -- he's been on Smackdown for so long it's not even a consideration.

I'm really getting into the Hornswoggle gimmick. I, too, was hoping The Big Show would make the save, though.

My mark out moment of the night...I worked with Mike Shaw (Booger) in college. He was a bouncer at a bar I worked at. He used to tell me about the days he worked with Dynamite Kid in Calgary and I begged him to call Vince on his cell once when I was drunk. He wouldn't do it...Mike is an awesome guy and his kid is a powerlifter now...still only in high school.

Trips had some good lines in this show though...the rip on Patterson was hilarious...especially if you know he is gay. The "Hi Steph" works every time for a cheap pop...I though the show went well...missed the whole Austin thing since it stopped taping when Taker came into the ring
