He was always my favorite wrestler growing up, especially with his "blood baths". He was actually signed by WWE to compete in a vampire stable in ECW with Kevin Thorn and Ariel. Never worked out as he never made it past Ohio Valley Wrestling and Deep South Wrestling (basically the minor leagues) and he was released in January 2007. He's married to Luna Vachon.

Watching those montages made me realize how much I miss Edge & Christian as a team:

  3. Final rating is a 4.1, which for them is more than outstanding.

The final two hours, which is the normal Raw timeslot, posted a 4.4 rating. Impressive, but helped by a pitiful Monday Night Football matchup.

  5. I don't really take in the Monday Night Football factor too much any more because WWE's numbers are about the same all year. They only lost a couple of tenths for the New England game last week. The fact they were up to 4.4 for those two hours over their usual 3.4 to 3.6 says a lot about drawing power of a show like that. They'll go back down to their usual 3.5 next week.

Weren't they getting like eights or nines or higher during the boom back in like 1996, 97, and 98?

I don't think they were doing 8-9 ratings, but both Raw and Nitro were hitting 6-7 pretty consistently at their respective peaks.

Great show, no complaints. For once, a Raw that was worth our time. Great to see Sunny, who -- despite all of her personal issues -- can still hold her own with any of the current Divas in the hot category. Molly Holly didn't look too shabby, either, but still, Mickie James tops my list.

Any show that has Pete Gas cannot suck. I was hoping for Joey Abs, though...

  8. The King of Old School had a dark match last night before RAW and again tonight before the Smackdown tapings. Apparently this is supposed to be his final year wrestling. Hard to believe considering he's only 34. Maybe WWE signs him and puts him on ECW to mentor CM Punk.

At various points, Raw and Nitro have broken the 8.0 barrier. I believe the This Is Your Life segment between Foley and Rock is the highest quarter hour ever for wrestling. Probably be a long time, if ever, before we see numbers like that again.

Ah, OK. Can't believe it took me that long to remember Corino.
