I love how the video opens up to them talking about Chyna's book (and not her video!) :)

He pronounced it Ess-A? Not Essa (uh)? Interesting. You don't see too many long-haired wrestlers nowadays.

Wow, just wow. I'm like "Why did Joe color his hair?" Still, if anyone hasn't watched it, go to YouTube and watch the ROH Wire this week. It was moving to see the ovation that Joe got in one of his final apperances in ROH.

In RAW on Monday, was that fall Benjamin took from the rope real or scripted? We got into an argument over which was the case, and rewound the TIVO several times to see it. I thought it was a real slip up, given that in the end, it contributed nothing toward the match's conclusion. Now, if Hardy had actually pinned Benjamin right after he fell, I might have thought it was scripted. But since the action continued, I think it was a real slip up.

The person I was with said it looked too fake to have been real, like Benjamin purposely slid his foot off the rope.

It was either real or worked to look real, given the announcers' befuddlement. Now watch Benjamin start making those mistakes every week and have it be part of his character, a flaw that can only be fixed ... by his mama.

Wrestling Society X, more like X-Wrestling Society. According to Dave Scherer, MTV has pulled the plug on WSX, effective immediately. Not sure whether they'll show the episodes they have left. I don't know that WSX would be a legitimate competitor for even TNA, but allegedly it caught McMahon's eye as a potential rival and it gave some good wrestlers national exposure (Jack Evans, Matt Sydal, Teddy Hart, Human Tornado, etc...). And it lasted not even six weeks? Apparently the people who did the show will be allowed to pitch the product to different networks, but I really can't imagine people buying in. Too bad.

how great was that match? hahaha. i mean, foley threw 1 punch, kamala threw two punches and then a running elbow smash basically and foley losses! haha
and then vince at the end saying "Foley is going to need an ambulance!"

In his weekly column, Marvez wrote MTV pulled one episode because of a Skandar Akbar-esque fireball to the face move was used. I didn't realize until I read his column that all that footage was taped in November.

Now there's speculation that that one episode got pulled not because of the fireball, but because of bad ratings. Since they did the entire season over like three days, it's not like MTV's getting the tape on Monday for that week's episode and going "holy fuck a fireball!"

This is similar, well a little similar, to when Southwest Championship Wrestling was pulled from USA Network in the early 80s that paved a TV slot for Vinnie Mac. There was a match with Tully Blanchard I believe that was extra bloody and the TV execs at USA pulled it on the spot. I can't believe it was due to ratings. I mean, what do Road Rules reruns draw? Better than .6?

Apparently WSX episodes have dropped quickly in ratings and are actually doing worse than both its Two-A-Days lead-in and whatever shit was in that slot before. It had a pretty promising first week (1.0 official debut, 0.4 for the Friday sneak preview), but it hit the shits pretty quickly. Plus because of the production costs, even if it was duplicating the ratings of the last show, that wouldn't be enough.

Does anybody else think Mr. Kennedy is going to win the MITB match? Of all the guys in it right now, I see him as most likely. I feel Orton and Edge will eliminate each other, Punk isn't big enough yet to win it. It comes down to Hardy and Kennedy. I think the WWE likes Kennedy as a future heel champ.
