I saw on PWI that apparently TNA is on the outs with the National Wrestling Alliance and could be phasing out its involvement with the NWA titles (heavyweight and tag). Guess TNA used the name to help it seem legitimate (remember when it was NWA's TNA wrestling?). Not so much now.

There's also reports that if the NWA gets its title back it will be put on Bryan Danielson.

RIP to Bad News Allen/Bad News Brown. Died of a heart attack at age 63 yesterday. One tough SOB.

Flipping around last night, I stumbled upon the tailend of the ECW show. SCSA was in the ring rambling on and on about the hair match. I stopped because I thought there'd be a spot happening.

Instead, SCSA got out of the ring and started interviewing fans about what they thought about the hair match. Again, I thought something semi-entertaining might happen so I kept watching.

SCSA rolls back into the ring and rambles some more. It was arguably the worst and most pointless mic work I've ever seen.

    "IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!"

Had to get that out of my system...anyway, I watched ECW too and I think they should have had the Burke-RVD match after the SCSA mic job. It would have helped get the 8-man match over, but McMahon is too worried about his ego that he would have Austin promote this hair v. hair match.

It's sad to see Angle's name in that scandal.

My prediction: Edge wins the MITB match again and keeps his Wrestlemania undefeated streak alive.

  8. Got the TNA PPV tonight, if only for Joe getting the world title shot.

    Pretty bad show so far.

There was a time TNA could've sold itself as a trule alternative as a mainstream version of ROH. Now they seem like WWE Lite. Bleh.

I'm following along on pwtorch.com, and it sounds pretty dreadful. Though Christopher Daniels sounds like he has a decent new look.

Sounds like Joe put on a clinic in the main event, though I was kinda surprised with the result. Glad I didn't pay for the event.
At least WrestleMania 23 has me eagerly anticipating the event, which shocks me as much as anyone.

Get rid of Russo now...he's killing TNA. I'm not going to say that I'm not watching, but he's making it hard for me to back TNA. I might say screw it and start buying ROH DVDs.

I'm actually glad Christian won. I reckon Samoa Joe will win the title on their June anniversary show ... and then they can change it to the TNA title and dump NWA.

I also see they are going without an NWA title match next month so that eliminates a change.

As for WWE, WM 23 is shaping up pretty good, but I'm sorry, Austin is SOOOOO TIRED to me! That awful ECW TV show promo he did last week was a cure for insomnia.
