    I saw that Slappy.

    And yea, it was so we could continue to work, Leo. But I don't recall my other former paper making such arrangements for its employees in times of need. Doesn't take away from the gesture.

    McClatchy gets more appealing by the minute. The top columnist and the publisher face off over a column. McClatchy says we support the writer and tells Jesus to publish the column.
    Wow.
    McClatchy basically threw the publisher under the bus.

    Word on the street is that other McClatchy papers are addressing this topic in-house in their papers around the country. Apparently, they're going to try to preempt this shit from happening anywhere else.

    Blatant conflict of interest. They should have been canned and not brought back. Diaz did the right thing in the first place.

    and frank, nuevo has a small spanish staff. it also translates plenty of herald pieces into spanish.
