OK, the former Chamber spokesman in me is calling bullshit on this survey.

Hartford's population is 850,000? That better be metropolitan?
    Providence is 1.2 million?
    New Haven has 542,000?

And Louisville has only 248,000? Don't think so.

It looks like they're taking metropolitan (or regional) populations for some cities (i.e. they list Boston at 3.4 million -- when the actual city has just a population of 550-600K -- and 3.4 seems very low for the metro pop.) and just city populations for Louisville (which BTW is outdated).

Maybe I'm taking this survey a tad bit too seriously, but take your results with a huge grain of salt.

I had the same experience. The emphasis on Virginia surprised me, but some of my top choices are in the top 10 here:

    Norfolk
    Charlotte
    Chesapeake-Virginia Beach
    Long Island
    St. Louis
    New York City
    Cincinnati
    El Paso
    Philadelphia
    Kansas City

El Paso must be helping fund this survey. Seems to turn up a lot.

    1. Charleston, SC.
    2. Oklahoma City
    3. El Paso
    4. Tampa
    5. Orlando
    6. Houston
    7. Dallas
    8. Louisville
    9. Fort Worth
    10. Nashville

I didnt have a city north of Evansville/Louisville.
While I did like the idea of Chattanooga and Nashville, Houston, OKC and Enid bothered me...

    Weird results here:

    1 Norfolk
    2 NYC
    3 OKlahoma City
    4 Louisville
    5 Chesapeake-VA Beach
    6 Charlotte
    7 Long Island
    8 Nashville
    9 El Paso
    10 Seattle

Only ones on this list i'd consider are NYC and Seattle; though Charlotte is a cool city (Louisville is a fun town, not sure about living there)

  8. Vegas, baby ;D ;D ;D

Maybe I picked the wrong coast after all:

    1. Hartford, CT
    2. Wooster, MA
    3. Portland, OR
    4. Providence, RI
    5. New Haven, CT
    6. Boston, MA
    7. Danbury, CT
    8. Little Rock, AR
    9. Eugene, OR
    10. Milwaukee, WI
    ----------------

Had three more Oregon (Salem, Corvallis, Medford) and Wisconsin (Sheboygan, Eau Claire, Oshkosh/Appleton) in the lower reaches. Honolulu was No. 21, even though I specifically said I was not into molten lava.

    1) Las Vegas (I swear)
    2) Little Rock
    3) Los Angeles
    4) Baltimore
    5) Long Beach
    6) Honolulu
    7) San Diego
    8) Orange County
    9) Charleston
    10) Houston

Strange list...especially because I clicked on the desert as an area I wanted to avoid.

At first I thought this thread was about Queen City, Texas ... home of the Bulldogs. :D
    _____

Break out the banjoes, fellas. (Just kidding, Arkies!) The Natural State is where I'm headed. Again.

    1. Fayetteville, Ark.
    2. Little Rock, Ark.
    3. Charleston, W. Va.
    4. Shreveport-Bossier City, La.
    5. Hartford, Conn.
    6. Frederick, Md.
    7. Baltimore
    8. Providence
    9. Sheboygan, Wisc. (Huh?!?)
    10. Danbury, Conn.
    11. Champaign-Urbana, Ill.
    12. Corvallis, Ore.

List was heavy on left-leaning college towns, for some reason.

FWIW: The two things that suck the most about Arkansas are the humidity, and the fact you can't buy beer on Sundays except in restaurants. Other than that, it's fine.
