soccer, soccer moms, soccer players, soccer coaches, soccer refs, soccer grass and soccer balls are all winners.

fucking idiots, but winners.

 

Been reading for a while, but this is my first post.

I was working at a small daily and we had one football parent who complained we never had a picture of her son, A LINEMAN, and said they work just as hard as Joe All-American who averaged about 200 yards a game.

So I later did a feature on the line, because how many times can you write about one kid, and talked to him. And we used a pic of him blocking. When I told him to tell his mom we were using a pic of him, he was humiliated and apologized for her. I got a kick out of it.

He was a good kid, and was all-state. But during basketball season, he hit a game-winning shot and we had his pics and quotes and we never heard jack from the mom. Typical.

Oh, and all soccer parents should die slow painful deaths, Hostel-style

Can we stop the name calling long enough to tell some more stories about crazy parents? They're one of my favorite things about this site.
