Quit smoking support group

I'm afraid the chew is back.

Two weeks ago, after I'd been through the Chantix levels, I just had an overwhelming urge one night, to the point where I had to run down to the mini-market near work and bought a can of Skoal.

Kept it at work only for a few days. Gradually, began taking it home.

Writing about it here bothers me, that I couldn't hang on. But I also remember how badly I wanted it that night.

 

take the dip back to work, dog. set a boundary.

Ok so I've been seven months without smoking and was so bad last weekend. I got drunk out of frustration and smoked a couple. :-[

I just thought I'd confess here.

 

Try, try again.

 

I haven't wanted one since. It was just kind of one of those "in the moment" things.

 

If that is all it is, then you are OK.
The worst is when you get angry smoke a couple, drink a lot, and then wake up the next morning smoking. If you haven't smoked since, you may still be in business.

I hate to turn this in to a political thread, but is Obama in this group?

 

Man, everyone is trying to do a good thing like quitting smoking, then Yawn - who I don't normally dislike that much (though I avoid political threads) shows up and everything is terrible again.
Good luck to you all and I hope to join you in the misery of quitting smoking/chew soon.
