It happens to the best of us.
At least next time you quit you have the confidence you can do it.

By the way, Friday night hasn't been nearly as hard as I thought it would be.

Same here for the game I covered Saturday.
I had to get there about three hrs early because of traffic. Normally, I would have put down three or four before the game, one at halftime and one as soon as I filed (if not before).
    Made it through ok, though.
Oddly enough, I really think knowing I can have a few when I got out drinking -- and starting to work out again -- are doing it for me this time.
Maybe after a couple months they'll just taste like crap again.

You know something, I've noticed that I really don't have a craving for smokes UNTIL I come to this site. I'm not saying this particular thread triggers it, but once I see how emotionally charged people get on these threads, I don't know, I reach for my lighter.

Mark, I like comedy. I go to comedy clubs were smoking is permissible. I'm back stage a lot of times.
The raw emotion of some of the people here trigger that response. I began figuring that out some time last year. I think this is the first that I've spoken about it.

All I'm saying is, then you need to take this place a lot less seriously.
And I really don't get the "I'm back stage a lot" angle.

That's just it, I don't take it seriously, which triggers the smoking mechanism. I find it amusing.
The back stage reference is that at someof the places I visit, there is a no smoking policiy. However, backstage is totally different.

You should probably save your body and give us up. I know it will be tough but it would help you in the long run. We're here for you... Drop us a line from time to time...

Do not flatter yourself. This is an amusing site. Unlike many people who stay here all day long, I have a life. But I realized that the site triggers that response.
But to be honest, I believe it triggers that response whenever I'm in a comfortable setting, be it indoors or outdoors.

I'm to the point that I almost forget that I'm quitting. I think I'm about to move beyond that to just being a former smoker. I can't tell you how satisfying that is.

I look forward to reaching that point. Good job HeinekenMan.
I'm just happy to have hit 7 days without tonight. This is the longest I've gone in at least 2 years.
