Well, my gums have been hurting all week, so I don't think these things are very good for you either.
I just wish I would quit getting dizzy and feeling like I was going to pass out. Not sure if it is from the quitting smoking or cutting coffee out of my life or if I have a giant tumor in my head.
Guess my doctor will tell me in the morning.
    Good luck.

    I am weak. Terribly weak.
I hadn't smoked in 12 days and for no reason at all tonight I broke.
    Back on it tomorrow.

  3. I've been ignoring this thread for a while, as I have been discreetly smoking. But now I realize I can't do it anymore. I keep getting sick and, even though she's never even seen me smoke a cigarette, now my daughter's been getting sick quite frequently.

So I'm done. It's been about two weeks now, I'm not even counting to tell you the truth - I'm just not doing it any more.

My problem is I've been highly irritated for the last week. I keep snapping at people. I don't remember it ever being this bad.

    Anyone got any advice?

It's been six hours since my last cigarette. Only an extremely busy night at work kept me from thinking about having one. Now that my shift is winding down, it's getting tough.

How long does it take for the nicotine to get out of your system?

    * In 20 minutes your blood pressure will drop back down to normal.
    * In 8 hours the carbon monoxide (a toxic gas) levels in your blood stream will drop by half, and oxygen levels will return to normal.
    * In 48 hours your chance of having a heart attack will have decreased. All nicotine will have left your body. Your sense of taste and smell will return to a normal level.
    * In 72 hours your bronchial tubes will relax, and your energy levels will increase.
    * In 2 weeks your circulation will increase, and it will continue to improve for the next 10 weeks.
    * In three to nine months coughs, wheezing and breathing problems will dissipate as your lung capacity improves by 10%.
    * In 1 year your risk of having a heart attack will have dropped by half.
    * In 5 years your risk of having a stroke returns to that of a non-smoker.
    * In 10 years your risk of lung cancer will have returned to that of a non-smoker.
    * In 15 years your risk of heart attack will have returned to that of a non-smoker.

    Smokers are pussies.
Try quitting dipping - and not pussy dipping. I'm talking four-six tins per week habit.
I haven't had one since December. Food has never tasted better.
Golf season has been a bitch though.

  7. Is there not a Red Sox game on somewhere?

    Sorry.
I wish someone lived nearby to punch me in the face and put my ass to bed.

But seriously, it's amazing how much I don't miss the heartburn and how great things taste.

Golf season is has been a big suck. Still, I chew my gum and I'm good.

24 hours. 24 painful, excruciating hours. I want to kill all of you. And watch you die in agony. And then I will smile. Just so you know.

You're not really helping to motivate me.
