Am I an old fart or old school if I like Tupac's Digital Underground phase best of all? Excepting California Love of course.

Digital Underground was the shit. Sex Packets, rap's first concept album, or least the first one I heard. Their funk samples kicked ass.

And Biggie? Over-rated, clap, clap, clap, clap. The whole Sean Combs wing of rap is way overrated.

His digital underground phase? When he was dancing for them?
He did that "Same Song" w/ them, but rapping-wise, that's about it.
If you like "Sex Packets," then you like Digital Undergound. Not 2pac.

As long as this thread is still going, I'll post these two Pac mixtapes.

If you're a rap fan and you haven't heard of this site already, they've got more than 1500 mixtapes all for free download. One of the best sites I've discovered this year.

Did a search for Jim Morrison, a ton of threads came up, chose this one with this post by Zeke. Seems appropriate.

Took the metro to Pére Lachaise today to find Morrison's grave. Found it.

Played the 8-minute version of L.A. Woman on YouTube as 15 or 20 others showed up.

A man from South Carolina took a photo of me. Told him I like USC and he said "That's the wrong USC."

I think this place has discussed it a few times ... The Doors are the best American band of all time.

Loved being able to do this today. As an aside, Morrison died 68 days before I was born.

Spent about an hour taking photos of the cemetery before getting to this grave. If you ever get a chance I highly recommend it.

    Clubber sighting!

Exhuming these old threads is like the stuff you find when you clean out the top shelf of the pantry.

I would have them ahead of The Doors but I would probably have a hundred bands over The Doors.

    I think I'm leaning REM.

There are at least four Seattle-based grunge bands I'd put above The Doors.
