Hah. And they've been rightfully skewered by most.

I think what's happening here is exactly what I predicted early on in this thread.

Rachel Dolezal was a nobody. No one in the movement was invested in her, so it was easy to make her into a laughingstock.

This guy knows what's coming if he admits to being white. He's doubling down, and claiming -- contrary to his birth certificate -- that his father is an unidentified "light skinned" black man.

This unidentified light skinned black man will continue to go unidentified according to King.

And, because he's a leader in the movement, and it would be an embarrassment to the whole movement, people are lining up behind him.

Joy Reid talked to him -- off camera -- and says he's totally bi-racial, and that we should not believe these biased groups questioning his race:

And, it's funny. Why wouldn't he talk to her on camera?

Does anyone remember Dolezal's on camera reaction to the question? It was so clear that she was lying. But, hey' let's just take his and Joy's word for it.

That isn't reporting. "Ah, it must be this! Yes!"

As for being taken in, your headline sure as shit was taken in. If Shaun King's story is correct, your thread title and ensuing performance show your ass completely.

No it's not. He's biracial. He can even detail that on a Census form (and could as far back as 2000). Police reports are too rigid.

Feel bad for his mom who WILL be dragged into this once the reporters hound her.

Parental listings on birth certificates do not have to be verified. Unwed mothers listing different names rather than the biological father on a birth certificate is a fairly common occurrence.

Nothing like throwing dear ol' mom under the bus.

Not to YankeeFan, who refuses to believe anyone grew up any differently than he did.

When the truth is on your side, it's really easy to answer questions.

    Instead, he says this:

I have promised my wife, kids, extended family, and friends that this will be the last time I talk about this publicly for a long time.

Sorry, but that's what people who are lying say all the time.

He puts out a statement, answers no questions, and says he's done talking about it. That's not how people who are telling the truth act.

LOL. What does that even mean?

    Common? Where? According to who?

BTW, I don't believe Shaun's mom was unwed at the time.
