Could be worse. At least it's not burnt out.

 

My house has a high ceiling with two lights right above a staircase that wraps around. One light is a good 12 to 13 feet above stairs. The other is probably 8 or 9 feet above stairs. Basically there is no safe way to get a ladder in the right spot to change them. They've been out for almost a year. They'll be out for years to come.
