I've had horse—served as a carpaccio, no less. It was pretty good. Like beef. I had no idea what it was until after I'd eaten it. That is not a good life strategy, but I was as hungry as... the horse I ate.

One of the funniest memories of my several youth sleepovers was when four of us were staying at one kid's house and his mom served us bowls of ice cream and the obligatory Hershey's chocolate syrup back when they still had it in the small can. We were at the table enjoying our sundaes and a chaser of Coke, when one of the kids (not me) reached for his drink, picked up the can of Hershey's and took a swig of the syrup before he realized it wasn't the soda.

 

I confess that I have done that with the original product in the bottle (not at a gym).
