This is one of my favorite action movies sequences. Exceptional.

The larger plot of the movie doesn't even matter. The entire focus of the movie is right here.
And I've probably already posted this scene on the thread already - but it is THAT good.

Stumbled onto a "Best Psychotic Drill Instructors in Movies" video (R. Lee Ermey for Full Metal Jacket at the top (no surprise) with Louis Gossett Junior in at no. 3. But I think they missed Darren McGavin in Tribes - one of the few portrayals of a DI with recruits, and when he's not yelling at him. McGavin might be one of the all-time underrated actors ever. Hard to believe this was a TV movie.

UPDATE: Last night was chatting with a guy who happened to be a former DI oddly enough - he said Ermy was the best. The guy I was talking with was Army - he never understood why Marine DIs talk the way they do, they seem to have a unique way of talking/yelling (not the profanity so much, but the accent "hup, hup, hup" kind of thing. )

Billy Crudup is also great in "The Morning Show."

One of the greatest films ever made. The river scenes are mystical and the light and shadow are about as good as it gets.

CK, ever the sly one, dropped a 6-episode feature length film in the middle of season 4.

It's a film of him finding true love with Amia, who doesn't speak a lick of English, before she returns to Hungary.

This is one of the many gorgeous scenes in the "film" ...

    And another one ...

A masterpiece of editing, sound, acting, etc. "Point Blank" is a brilliant revenge film. Lee Marvin's best, I think.

This scene carries more meaning as the film goes on, but as a standalone piece of cinema, it's really cool. So cool, that when I flew into LAX for the first time? I wore dress shoes so I could create the same sound effect. When I flew in, there was still a hallway that was decorated as the one in this scene is. Stupid, but a big thrill for me to walk the same hall (or one like it).

Sorry for all the late likes. I apparently never scrolled back through the entire thread and there's so many good choices there.

When it comes to something silly that makes me laugh, the opening credits scene from Guardians of the Galaxy II is the best. Groot dancing always makes me laugh.
