Random Thoughts, the Sequel

There are days when I don't feel like calling and talking to people on the phone. Today is one of those days.

 

0-for-4. Somebody pick up the fucking phone.

 

That animation always makes me laugh.

 

You going to make it over there?

 

0-for-5. Two messages left, one busy signal, one that just rings and rings and a cell phone that isn't accepting incoming calls. I need a vacation desperately.

 

It's moments such as those that make me glad I left behind writing and became a desker.

 

If you call me, I promise to answer

 

Thankfully, I'm not writing anything on deadline. Today was supposed to be an easy day, just some preseason capsule stuff, a little all-area. Nothing strenuous and I'm getting bootsed.

 

I was thinking the exact same thing.

 

So I call the head coach of the player of the year so he can have her call me. She calls back and her phone voice sounds exactly like that of a girl I was seeing in college. The same girl from college, in fact, who I got engaged to and married in my mind-fuck of a dream last night. I just want to go home and curl up into a little ball right now.

 

Yeah, I kind of left that one hanging didn't I?
