See, a lot of the locals here flee like a herd of wildebeasts before the onslaught of a pride of lions at about this time every year.

This will be my fifth one and if I'm lucky my last. I used to enjoy this thing when I was at a distance. Now that I'm in the middle of it ... not so much.

Baseball season needs to start ASAP. I know this because I cuss under my breath when I hear any reference to UCLA.

So SXSW is worse than the ACL Festival in the late summer/early fall?

They're talking distinct possibility of EF2 to EF5 tornadic activity, hail bigger than baseballs and torrential rainfall.

We could use the rain, but the rest of that shit, well, ...

Now I can never tell if people are being ironic or just want to type in blue.

Yup, all hell's going to break loose on the southern great plains tonight. Dorothy, bring in Toto unless you want him pounded into chorizo de perro by the hail. I plan on watching it all from the comfort of my hotel window.

I think I'll use purple when I have no idea what is going on. Call it the Towelie font.

MySpace spamming is completely out of control. I got on once today and had 9 new friend requests from only about an hour previous. All were spam. I also had about 5 spam emails in the space of about 20 minutes. It's just like the spammers are trying to purposely destroy any possible chance they could ever have of actually suckering someone in to adding them as a friend or looking at their product. Hilarious.

I only use blue when I'm being ironic or I'm trying to hide a wise-ass (or smartass) comment by making it look like irony.
I know that SXSW is a 4-5 day music & movie festival that brings in people from all over the country and packs every music venue and bar in downtown Austin to the rafters. While ACL is a simple 3-day music festival that brings in people from all over the country, but is contained in one area and to a handful of stages. But I couldn't resist commenting on the other big music festival in Austin.
