So Day 1 of Hell week is off to a flying start ...

I come in and put my stuff on my desk and am welcomed to a printed out picture of my staff photo pinned up on my desk.

Congrats on your **-year Tommy_Dreamer. That's cool, I knew that'd be happening, the company newsletter every month announces service anniversaries. However, it's what was below the **-years and my name and my photo that really irks me.

They have me working in the "mailroom"

So much for working that long in a place where they don't even know what department I'm in! ::)

Living in Austin, I actually got sick of live music. I like coffeehouses, but try to go to a coffeehouse in Austin on a Friday night and chances are there's some guy doing his best Bob Schneider impersonation. :-X I finally became a regular at Flightpath mainly because of their lack of live music.

Just think of all the dipshits who are also lawyers. If they can do it, you certainly can do it. You'll be fine.

    Congratulations.

Don't worry about those jitters. They'll go away after the first big hit.

Give him 5 years to pay off school, then liquor drinks for all of us? :)
Seriously -- what's the average length of time it takes to pay off law school (or medical school?)

sxy, it takes 5-10 years depending how much you earn. i don't know about med school. i'll be a little on the low side of paying it all back because i managed to cobble together a few scholarships. i'm making a decent wage but far less than some of my friends at the top of the class. as in, $50,000 a year less. but i'll also have a semblance of a life and won't work seven days a week, though i might work 11-12 hours monday through thursday, 10 on friday and four on saturday.
