Excellent. So apparently I can actually go to an SportsJournalists.com outing because I am no longer dangerous.

Well, they very well could be, sxy. None of them were taken off the list of places/people dangerous to America. :)

$5.15 before tax in Vermont. Not that I'd buy a pack or anything.

I'm at Borders today, trying to shake a wicked headache, when I look at the table in front of me to see a father and his percious daughter, maybe 6 or 7 years old. Cute as a button. He's reading Rolling Stone magazine, the story of how and why Pink Floyd broke up. She's eating a chocolate chip cookie. She finishes and asks to go to the bathroom. He tells her to wipe her face. She wipes her face. She gets figety and walks to dad and wants to straddle his right foot, which is hanging off his left leg; legs are crossed. "Please don't," he said without lifting his eyes from the magazine. She didn't listen and tried to straddle the foot again. "Please don't," he said again. It seemed to crush her spirit. She looked at me like someone told her Santa Claus didn't exist. If I ever have a daughter (or a son), I will never do what the father did today.

That's terrible, and just so, so wrong on so many accounts. Bastard needs to know when to put down the Rolling Stones rag and pay attention to his daughter.

By the way, excellent baseball pix on the ball photo thread over in journalism topics only.

Thanks, Platy. I just saw that I misspelled percocious.

I'm going out for movie and milkshakes with the Old House's best friend tonight while the Old House is two states away.

Can anyone think of a worse idea?
