    You go right up to the side and begin talking to all of them, ignoring the one in the middle to an extent. You occasionally make jokes to lighten the group up a little bit, take a joking stab at the one in the middle, get the others to laugh at her a little, and then talk to the one in the middle. If you work this to perfection, the others should be disarmed enough for you to slide right in.
