The impression I get is she knows exactly what she's doing, but she isn't actually thinking of it in those (our) terms.

All the cows are inside due to the threat of rain. I don't mind the Red Sox, plus if I punched one in their fans in the face, I think I would have all of the town after me, granted, may be less than a handful, but still.
