    They want to charge me $175 to cancel my account because the metro area to which I am moving has some service (very little mind you), but the outlying areas gets absolutely zero service.

    Sounds like talk to the manager/Chamber of Commerce/Better Business Bureau time to me.

    I have used this thought successfully in the past when kicked upstairs on an issue: A happy customer will tell a friend. An unhappy customer will tell ten friends. I will tell everyone I see using a cell phone.

    WE HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE.. WOOHOOOOOOO.

    Now... pesky Cingular better start working wiht me.. the only other option was to go to the lowest plan available which will still be more than the $175 over the remainder of my contract.
