Our apartment complex is going to allow us to paint the apartment. I want to keep the colors light because I don't want it to take 3 coats of white paint to cover the place. What colors should I use? I've already decided on a taupe/tan color for the bathroom.

 

are they going to allow you to clean it and change the lighting fixtures as well?

Maybe I should direct this to Doc:

Don't let spup paint the walls because when it's time to move out, repainting is the last thing you'll want to do. It's impractical.

Once you've moved all your shit you're not going to want to return to your old place and repaint. So then you end up eating part of your deposit.

Trust me, I went through this twice with my wife and the kid's bedroom.

Just buy some kick-ass pictures to hang on the walls.

 

I don't have to repaint it. They repaint it when someone moves out every time.

And we just didn't rent a house because we wanted to have a place to live as soon as we go there.

 

having a place to live is overrated.
